  1. Doesn't help ticket sales when you can't even pay by card at the ticket office. And it's £20.50
  2. Wonder what date IN Jan he'll be shipped off then?
  3. The pressing early doors was immense didn't let a very good side settle and had them panicking. The shape never looked as good when we lost Wilkinson, then (as is customary) we tried to shut up shop too early. They probably could have got at least another goal but then again so could we. Thought Jones and Mills were excellent ran themselves into the ground and while we tired (understandably with the pressing first half) the backs to wall effort was excellent. One of the most enjoyable 3 points in a long time
  4. Thought Ibehre was by and large or biggest threat today, was certainly our best player 1st half
  5. If we'd have beat Yeovil and got a point at MK then we would view this result a lot differently, however we lost those games by an 11-0 aggregate so its hard to take this result in isolation, it starts to look like a rather worrying trend instead of an unlucky home loss. The knock on effect of these games on morale and confidence could mean our season is over much sooner than it looked like it would be a month ago
  6. Threw 3 points away, no ruthless edge. May have been unlucky with certain things but you've only yourselves to blame for not putting away sides of that quality. The problem is we aren't going to play poor sides like Yeovil and Crewe at home every week, we've returned 0 points from those games so it makes it even more demoralising to think what's going to happen against the better sides!
  7. Formation didn't work but wasn't any better when we reverted to type. So many more problems than just the formation changes today
  8. Can't absolve the players of blame. The was no taking account for their own actions today, arm waving, head shaking and finger pointing yes but no leadership, no real passion. The worst performance I've seen in quite some time
  9. Ref decided from the get gp he was going to let shoves and pushes go, !might not have been correct but he was the same for both sides. First half showed we can't afford to make wholesale changes just disappointing that Johnson sent out the message to curb the attacking intent, I'm sure we'd rather have seen us concededing going for a 3rd or 4th rather than the meek way we did so
  10. Chubs made an excellent save in the first half, don't remember him having to do much else tho. Think we played within ourselves and inevitably went a little deep as time ticked on. Fine result and keeps the recent winning culture rolling. Job done
  11. Wouldn't have put Corney on there if I had my way but its a good picture nonetheless
  12. Tbf he was poor in his early games, suppose it shows more patience is needed at times but we've had plenty who started poorly and never got any better!
  13. Coventry offered nothing and could be in a bit trouble however don't want to take away from the performance, completely controlled the game and just looked a good all round unit once again
  14. He got away with the first one, took an extra touch and was lucky to get it through the keepers legs. But I take your point, you do fancy him to stick them away when he bursts clear
  15. Made the point after Tuesdays game he's the player that keeps everything going, always wants the ball and wants to keep the tempo flowing even when not everything comes off. In fact the only that has been missing has been some shooting prowess and a goal so now that he's got one it should give him even more confidence to kick on again
  16. Wilkinson was brilliant, just missed that finishing touch don't see how anyone could find fault in the rest of his game last night. I also wonder how we would cope without Jones at the minute, not everything he does comes off but he always wants the ball and to keep things moving, the heartbeat of the team at the moment. If he gets injured or nullified by the better opposition of this league it will be interesting to see how we cope
  17. His positioning was at fault to have to make the save which wasn't especially difficult anyway. This was problem when everyone was calling for a keeper change last year, he is a below average keeper imo, not terrible but below the average standard of the league
  18. Can we not just give our opposition a walkover next year? The dashing of raised hopes just isnt worth it
  19. Looked very lightweight again today, seems more confident on the pitch than in the past but im still far for convinced. JCH looks the more dangerous and more potential rough diamond to me
  20. Good stuff today, the confident play was still there but apart from a sloppy spell after the break the pressing and work rate was there in abundance. Wes was fantastic today and summed the performance up although Swindon looked one of the poorer sides ive seen at BP for a while considering their league position
  21. Not sure we are due to hammer anyone but I keep saying a good run is around the corner, hopefully this is the start
  22. Best ive seen from him in the limited opportunities he's gotten. Have never seen anything to get me too excited about him in the past but looked a bit sharper and more confident today. Long way to go for him still I expect though
