  1. I'll tell you why there were no forks. The balloon who finally served me after a twenty minute wait knocked a cup full of forks onto the floor behind the bar whilst passing me my Guinness. Instead of picking them up, he just trampled all over them. As for the ballboy, of course it was out of order, and should be investigated, but I must say I've never felt more comfortable and respected as a supporter than last night. The stewards and fans were extremely friendly and helpful.
  2. I was fuming at Taylor's exploits AGAIN last night, and I apologise to the lady sat in front of me for what I called him. Jeopardising the team's chances by needlessly getting booked meant that one mis-timed tackle could have had us reduced to 10 men. Later on, his head went down, and he was walking up the pitch with his back to play while Adeyemi was looking for an option for his throw-in. At that point I'd have subbed him and said "If you want to walk about, walk home!" He showed what he's capable of on many occasions last night, but the club really need to get someone to understand what is going on in his head if he's going to reach his full potential.
  3. If Chaddy looked like the new 'Hard Owl' on the badge, the prick wouldn't have had the bottle to throw a punch.
  4. Not if you should have woken 2 hours ago for a flight, like I did last month.
  5. Having seen Chaddy with and without his feathers, my daughter is more scared of the man than the suit.
  6. Nobody deserves to be stabbed to death..... ....Oh, apart from thieving scumbags like Raymond Jacob. :censored: him, his family, and all his acquaintances.
  7. Quidco? You're having a laugh. They still owe me a total of £103 from various deals that they refuse to acknowledge despite 'Tracking' every one of them. I have mates who have also beeen ripped off many times by Quidcon. Check Quidcons forums before signing up with them - It'll give you an idea how many people get cashback refused, and how bad Quidcon are at dealing with their complaints. Stick with Topcashback - Never had a problem, and they don't take a fiver off you every year in subscriptions.
  8. Diet of carrots and grass, this one. Sorry Dave, you really were pisspoor.
  9. Correct. I would normally have gone to the game had I not been going on holiday that evening, and was asked by a friend the morning before matchday if I wanted a ticket picking up as they were still available. Liverpool fans were known to turn up late in large numbers for games - I remember it happening at Walsall earlier that season, Blackburn the season before (I think), and a couple of seasons earlier at Stoke's Victoria ground there was a very worrying event similar to Hillsborough, when the gates were opened twenty minutes into a cup game after a sole turnstile was left to cope with several hundred Liverpool fans who were getting restless outside. However, turning up late and with a couple of pints inside you isn't a crime, and is something that many of us have done. The police should have beeen aware of the possibility of this, particularly with the roadworks, and plans to deal with these large numbers should have beeen in place, but weren't. Instead, the approach seeemed to be more geared to confronting hoooliganism than dealing with public safety. Liaison officers these days are much more in touch with the teams they represent, and will be better armed with knowledge regarding their travelling fans' preferred routes, pre-match drinking habits, hooligan contingents, and associated habits, which hopefully will ensure that the events in Sheffield will never be repeated. That sort of information was available to police forces twenty years ago, but they chose to adopt a policy of treating all supporters like animals instead, with tragic consequences. Thank God times have changed.
  10. To be fair, rumours of him being a season ticket holder at OT, and having a Man U tattoo have both been dispelled on the referees website in the past. However twatface Worrall has since stated that he has always been a fan of Manchester Utd. That doesn't escape the fact that he made the single worst decision in our history (And failed to consult his linesman too)- one that I believe cost us a place in Europe, and ultimately the financial rewards that could have seen us competing at a higher level more comfortably than the 3 years we managed. I also believe we'd have beaten Crystal Palace in the final, and would have earned our place in FA Cup history. For those reasons Joe Worrall is the worst referee we've ever encountered, closely followed by Rennie and Clattenburg on pure incompetence.
  11. They all look the same to me (The towns, not the Somalians, before I dig myself a hole), but I think it was Thornton Heath where I noticed KFC and a Launderette had beeen ransacked, and I just thought "Why?" Were they hoping for a free 2 piece chicken meal, then wash out the greasy stains that dropped down their shirts? It really seems to have gone downhill massively from what I remember of places like South Norwood, where 20 years ago I was kindly given a free en-suite room and food by the local constabulary (For reasons I'd rather forget).
  12. Christ, it made me realise Oldham aint anywhere near as bad as it seems. If he hadn't been on the Purley ("Say no more!") side of town I'd have turned round and driven straight back home. Never got chance to see what rich pickings Zorrro had managed to hoard as we stayed up near the aerodrome, but I suspect a balaclava and Burberry cap were hung neatly behind his door - not one to miss an opportunity and all that. I was sorry to have to leave early on Sunday afternoon. I was getting a taste for the Boon Doggle Ale at a nice little boozer in Coulsdon.
  13. That cookie monster should be on salads and oily fish too, by now. Why can't these people move with the times?
  14. As we drove through Brixton and Streatham on Saturday, the Mrs said "Have you noticed, everyone's wearing brand new trainers round here?". She genuinely couldn't work out why I was laughing. Then my nine year old daughter saw the boarded-up tool shop in Croydon and said "I reckon they turned that place over so they could get the gear to do some serious looting". Criminal minds form early - the kid's grounded....
  15. Said this last season. Taggart has shown nothing so far, and poor defensive mistakes still abound. Serious improvement is neeeded fast.
  16. Yep. 22 years old - and making mistakes that you'd expect 17 year old professionals to have eradicated from their game, never mind someone with 5 years more experience. Learn from it Jean - quickly. We can't afford to carry daydreamers.
  17. Small Dick Syndrome. Inadequate uneducated selfish thoughtless inbreds (And that includes the Oldham contingent who enjoy the 'firm' activity). What a shame we can't force all football thugs to fight to the death on Wembley turf once a year, with the last man standing hung for manslaughter afterwards.
  18. Bloody Hell Carl, that's a bit wide of the mark. I travel that route regularly (Sometimes several times a day) at all times, and it is always at least 8-9 minutes during the daytime, and often close to 20 minutes.
  19. That's a pretty realistic assessment with no sign of blue tinted specs. We really didn't have a plan B last season, and once Exeter had shown our weak points in the second half at BP, everybody exploited them (Especially Southampton) and we tumbled down the table. I saw little to suggest Taggart was teaching the defence anything, and the lack of goals was very worrying. Like everyone else, I really hope we've improved, and PD will continue to get my support, but the realist in me says we'll end up little higher than the bottom six. We still have a team though - and we still have faith and hope, if not glory.
  20. He's no different to any other failed striker we've had at BP over the years. It's just that now we have the likes of Twitter etc to tell us exactly what he thinks of us, rather than speculations of 'family issues' et al that would previously have been attributed to players requesting to leave. It didn't work at Latics for you Warren. Perhaps due to confidence, formation, lack of a run of games or even our style of play. Yet the fact is, you were given a good (Too good IMO) contract as our chief striker, and were expected to prove yourself and score goals, but did neither. Instead of tweeting your ill-conceived opinions for all to see, you'd have been better off showing a little respect and dignity, and just saying "Ok, it didn't work for me. Sorry to those who put faith in me, but it's best for everyone that I move on and allow Oldham to bring in someone else". I'm not one of those who wants to see him leave with a size nine imprint on his arse and a leper's bell in his hand, but I do think he needs to leave quietly and quickly, and be thankful of the opportunity he was offered, rather than getting people's backs up.
  21. To be fair, I've enjoyed the view of the rolling hills of Lancashire since the Lookers went, and sometimes it's been a welcome distraction from some of our defending. Nevertheless, we can look forward to a new backdrop, though we'll have to shout a bit louder if we want to abuse the oppo's bench now.
  22. Nah! I'll stick to the current mainstand where I can moan in peace....
  23. I have a large sledgehammer and a few hours to spare if it helps?.......
