    It was decent today from us. But the notable difference was that there were 13,000 home fans so when they got going we were always going to come out 2nd best.

    I never trust rail replacement busses. I got on one once going back to Glossop which stopped at Ashburys when there was a Citeh game on and they left about 200 City fans stranded. As funny as that may seem to some they would have almost certainly done the same to us yesterday. So I went via Warrington and had no real bother

    Sometimes winging a scrappy 1-0 in an awful game can become the turning point for a good run of form. I hope it has given Dean and the boys the much needed shot in the arm we need. Besides a win on Tuesday would take us to the magical 51 points mark.

    You get too much of this "we're too big to care about them (but secretly we do)" crap these days. I'd say Oldham vs Rochdale is a rivalry between two towns more than two Football clubs but that's how the biggest rivalries in the game have historically come about.

    In my opinion whether he's overreacting or not, we need all the support we can get right now. Maybe instead of trying to patronise part of our ever decreasing fanbase, maybe we should be trying to convince the OP along with many others who have decided to turn their back on the club to reconsider their decision.

    I have no doubt that Barry like the rest of us has the clubs best interests at heart and by all means he's entitled to his opinion. But FFS the last thing we really need after two poor defeats is to not only bring all this back up again but to do so in the manner he has done.

    I want to see crowds like yesterday paying full-price again and unlike other posters I believe it can be achieved.

    It wasn't a classic but I thought it was a very satisfying win. We've seen very similar games in the past where we seem to peter out and end up conceeding a late goal. But as the game went on the more we took control

    I agree that whatever colour the club decides to go back to for old times sake it'll never be the same thing. I personally quite like the idea of an All-White away kit, but I suppose anything is better than the last two away kits we've had

    What year did we stop wearing those colours. (excluding when it was briefly revived 15 years ago)

    Another good read. I do agree about their Supporters Trust having their own bar, something to aim for in the future perhaps

    Like I said, I'm not pointing the blame, I'm comparing the two sides. Barnsley did very little and came away with the points, if we played to our capabilities we would have won.

    I'm not putting the blame solely on Brown. All I'm saying is that in a game between two poor sides one mistake was the ultimate difference.

    True, I don't believe you need to play pretty Football at our level, just take your chances. Preston last season being a prime example. The difference last night was that Barnsley looked very low on confidence, they didn't case us any problems and bagged a goal from a mistake made by Brown. Had that mistake not been made I cant see where an opposition goal would have come from.

    Very poor performance against a side who were there for the taking. Although seeing how bad M'Voto was for them tonight reminded me that we have slowly progressed under Johnson. It was just a shame we had nobody willing to capitalise on his mistakes.

    ^This I don't mind the term "home for the unloved" if it refers to signing Footballers with a point to prove based purely on their ability. I'm not interested in players with off-field issues who have time and again let themselves down.

    On his debut at Stevenage I thought it was great that we had a tricky winger who could cross a ball. Then after that game he became another one of those modern wingers who would take too many touches and end up losing the ball. He was good on a handful of occasions but I don't think the way we've played tried to play has really benefitted him.

    So we sold out yet another away end this season. There you have it, conclusive proof that we are MASSIVE

    I'd take him, sure he's not been the greatest player we've had but I still see a lot of potential. His better games have been when he's played mostly down the middle. He's definitely not a winger

    Where have I said that people aren't allowed to criticise him or whoever else takes the role on? I just want to see as many fans as possible prepared to take on the responsibility that Barry had. You're spot on, and like i said in my original post we need someone prepared to drop any personal agenda for the sake of being the voice of the fans.

    There's no doubt the way he conducted himself at times was questionable. But I have a feeling not many of his critics would be prepared to take the role on.
