  1. Hi six to that pal, He is having an amazing experience. They lost 0-1 on Monday to County Londonderry (Kyle started the game and was subbed 10 minutes into the second half) Then lost 3-5 to a team from Russia yesterday (Kyle was an unused sub which he was miffed about) They drew 0-0 today to County Fermanagh (Kyle played the full match and his coach said "he bossed it" - he is buzzing tonight) Tomorrow they play a team from Peru He is in a house with 5 teamates and a chaparone that cooks for them, makes sure they are in bed at curfew (11 o'clock) at gets them up. They train each morning, have a little snooze after dinner then taken to their game later. They have physios and a masseuer and are treated like first team pros. Truely amazing set up and a phenominal experience for a 15 year old to play with 17 and 18 year olds. Hope they sign him on as pro next season and go on the same tour (hopefully with Tics youth as well). Fancy it Harry ???
  2. Why are people getting off on an immediate negative stance about "only 12,000" on what I consider to be a phenominal opportunity to see OUR club both survive and prosper. We are currently struggling to get 5,000 Tics to any home game, the ground wasn't even full last season for dirty Leeds when we were going well, it won't be full against Stockport and it won't be full against Exeter, even if we are top of the league by 30 points. Imagine the atmosphere if the ground was ready for this season for the home game with MK Dons on Tuesday the 29th of September and the ground had 25,000 seats, roaring atmosphere ????? (I think not) Before anyone starts to lambast the proposal, take a step back, realise TTA's have stuck their necks on the line once AGAIN for OUR club and are proposing a great future. As Mr Benitez stated last January, "lets deal in facts". The facts are there may be contingency plans to extend the new ground should success come our way, TTA's aren't stupid, they will have done their homework before this statement was released and not every single item on the agenda will have been discussed, such as ground extension, bars, catering facilities, parking etc, etc, etc. The fact is BP is in a worse state than Freddie Flintoffs knees and this is an amazing opportunity to take OUR club forward, not settle for Division 3 or Division 4 football. Please, please please ALL Tics fans, back TTA's and K E E P T H E F A I T H
  3. On Thursday we ordered a taxi from Oldham and it picked us up at the Wilton Pub big car park which is attached to the Travelodge on the Junction 19 roundabout then straight up through Middleton, dead easy, BUT order your taxi mate. Going AGAIN tonight, bring it on. Absolute class on Thursday (when it got going) good sing song with Rocky, Chickers and Butter Stood next to a load of Yarkshire boys, half Bratfert half Dirty Leeds, the Bratfert boys hate Leeds more than us!! They were mates but they still kicked off with each other, kn**s Generator blow up on a warm night on Thursday, what chance of another free gig once the rain gets at the gear?
  4. At least the ref was consistant, even though i am a Mighty White (Real Madrid that is) i DO feel sorry for Abidal, crap decision to send him off now he misses the final which can only help the dirty red scum with Alves also getting himself banned and Marques is out. Johhny Punkster and Nava will no doubt tell me who will play at the back in the final but at least Henry will be back so hopefully Barca will not need defenders with Meesi, Eto'o and Henry running Fergies defenders silly. Just hope that ref tonight does not officiate the Valencia v Real Madrid match on Saturday !! Still time for a few this weekend
  5. If you are a boxing fan I take it that you have never wanted Ricky Hatton to win either, I believe he has a slight footballing preference to Man City. This is about local boxing not football favourites. Craig has only been on Sky once and that was on the Hatton v Lazcano undercard in "The Homecoming" at the City Of Manchester Stadium. He fought Rickys brother, Mathew who is a dirty red scummer, so I take it that you were cheering the dirty red on to a unanimous points loss!!!! I suggest you stick to cheering on Tics and leave the boxing alone Mr McKenzie
  6. Hi guys, Anybody out there a BOXING fan??? I love watching boxing and have latched onto an Oldham born professional, Craig Watson. Craig "Da Hammer" Watson is the current Commonwealth Welterweight Champion with his last fight being an incredible eleven months ago when he out-pointed Matthew Hatton on the undercard of his brothers Ricky's "Homecoming" when he famously beat Lazcano last May at the City of Manchester Stadium. Craig was managed back then by Frank Maloney but a fall-out led to his lengthy ring demise and has recently signed up with David "Hayemaker" Haye and will next fight on Saturday 11th April at the famous York Hall in Bethnal Green, London. I am going to drive down to the fight on Saturday morning as Tics are away on Good Friday 10/04/09 to Carlisle and are at home to Crewe on Easter Monday 13/02/09. If I was to hire a minibus, does anybody fancy sharing the costs by coming along and watching Craig take on local boy John O'Donnell and sing a few Tics songs for the Oldham boy. Tickets are £35. I am trying to sort out cheap/free accomodation for the saturday night then drive home on the Sunday morning, otherwise I will just take my car and have a couple of spare places. I have bought a 12 foot by six foot St.George flag with "CRAIG WATSON" down the middle and "OAFC" split into the four white quadrants to show my support. The fight is promoted by Mick Hennessey Sports and could be shown on one of the ITV channels so we could get on telly. Over to you guys KTF
  7. I drive to and from work through Royton everyday and have been very disillusioned to see the Marstons Tavern draped in four or five scum flags, imagine my suprise tonight whilst I was driving home to see shiny, new blue and white chequered "LATICS" flags adorning the front of the same pub. Just wondering if anyone drinks in there, is it a scum pub, has it just changed hands or have they been threatened by the Diego Sideburns Massive. Whatever the reasons, its great to see the "Blue Flag Flying High"
  8. How very dare you Mr Ragg As a Cowboy for over 20 years its about time we deliver once more, our recent play-off form (when we get there!!!) is on a par with our beloved Tics. Hopefully Mr Romo can leave that bit of Simpson fluff alone for long enough to realise that he has the potential to be the next Marino, Manning etc Here's to next season and my only wish is that the Cowboys fare better than my good mates:- The Dolphins - Harry Dowds Green Shirt's team The Broncos - Nava's team The Bears - Neil Adams Headbands's team The Eagles - El Tel (from our works) team
  9. Agree with you there Shaggs, I was like a zombie at half six but I would not have missed that game for anything, AWESOME Kinda feel sorry for the Cardinals, they did a superb job considering they finished the regular season 9-7. Role on next season, lets hope its a Cowboys strole in the park, then again its only five weeks until F1 is back AND on the beeb (yee-har)
  10. I'll have you know she was up nice and early at 18:15 PS Any chance of squeezing in with you and Nava on Tuesday to Scunny ?
  11. I knew I shouldn't have had that fourth bottle of red !!
  12. I can catagorically confirm that Rocky was definately roaring yesterday, infact when I saw him in the Old Grey Mare after the game he was absolutely hammered. Sorry about that Luke but when I saw you with that tray of assorted coloured shots I knew the end was nigh for you.
  13. 100% behind you there "lookers87". I have been following this thread all day and personally I am finding it quite tiresome now. It is turning into a "My dad is bigger than your dad" situaton, yes we all have opinions, yes we are all right but ultimately WE ARE ALL BLUE. Are you referring to me as a "friend" as I class you as an aquaintance!!
  14. So does that mean Hereford should have just let us play pretty and take the three points. Don't know how much you know about football but even the bottom teams are allowed to win
  15. Yes i have been watching us since Hartlepool away but that was back in September, what about the decent results, good results and great results we have had since to get us to THIRD in the League. One bad result does not make a season, that is why ALL teams win some lose some and draw some. Get a grip. i bet if we thump County next week or get a result at Scunny you will be saying we are fantastic !!
