  1. Belive me when I say that the current leg room in the main stand is much more than some of the seats in the colly! Replacement of the seats in the theatre is to change the layout slightly thus giving more leg room. Also hoping to give flexibility to change the layout if needed. The old seats that have been donated elsewhere are a nightmare to maintain and where butchered on removal. Over a thousand wriggly kids per day on panto takes its toll over the course of approx 30 years. Keeping that champagne on ice!
  2. I think the Guy lay down is the old groundsman Harry? He always wore that coat! Could be mistaken mind! Keeping that champagne on ice!
  3. The arkles may be the best bet near the ground as its away friendly but does get busy so will after head down there fairly early. Keeping that champagne on ice!
  4. Must try that irish bar a couple of doors down from the crown pre match. Post match tranmere last season it was rocking! Aiming to be in liverpool around 1-30pm. Keeping that champagne on ice!
  5. Suprised nobody has mentioned Scapuzzi`s lack of clearing the ball in their build up to their goal? I was fuming at the time and couldnt wait to see if he could of headed it. But why duck? Keeping that champagne on ice!
  6. If your planning on going without a ticket yet then dont. Latics have sold out of their allocation of just 100 for the sun promotion. Fair play to those who are going and paying full whack. I have chosen against shelling 21 beans. Keepin that champagne on ice Burgerdarts
  7. I agree that our movement at throw-ins is very static at times. Although last night the throw-in that led to the penalty was something they have obviously worked on in training. It was tried again later in the game. The most worrying part for me was that as soon as they got their free-kick their chins dropped before they even took it! As soon as it went in their whole bodies drooped. Second game of the season and the confidence is gone at 1-1. Reuben needs to read smiths knock-ons. Dont think he read one all match. Reid has no control-phil has too much! Mvoto had a much better game. Thought Zander kept his pace well. Blacky half asleep at times. Half a challenge taylor. Carl showed why he is a great prospect. Parker needs to be a bit more nosey but great pace. Thought our midfield was missing at times and far too close together. Find the space. Must be said that Ciask made a couple of superb saves and kept us in the game. The question is how long are we going to have to wait for this team to gel?! A good result sat is a must. 8. Either or squire. Much appreciated. Glad I got in the chron! Keeping that champagne on ice! Burgerdarts
  9. Some great photos on both latics and swindon sites. The reaction to my gingerbread effort was superb all day and full credit to the swindon public for their comments! Every car on the walk back into town a few hours after the game gave a pip without asking for one. Superb. Contemplated wearing it out in the evening but glad I didnt as what an epic session it turned out to be. What a great weekend! Diego-A copy of the pictures you took would be greatly appreciated! 10. Im down there for the weekend with a fair few others. Got my clobber sorted but have had an idea on fancy dress for a while but would take some serious organising to implement. Every latics fan whos attending to wear the same generic fancy dress costume. Wheres wally attire is an easy one with hat, stripey top and comedy bottle glasses. Think it would look top draw and something that may draw a bit of good press to both the club and the fans? Thoughts? Keeping that champagne on ice!
  11. Few of us Having this one. Staying over for the weekend. £60 for two nights at the travelodge booked a few weeks back equals a tenner each night based on a family room. Not decided on the attire as yet but always thought that if everybody off here who was attending wore the same eg: where`s wally, it would have more of an impact!
  12. That was quite simply awesome to watch. Our movement within a unit is sublime at times. I know more than most what its like to be brassy in the wallet, but for all those people who shelled out week in week out under the penney days to watch the dross that was served up I command you to part with your hard earned as I believe "Its on" this season and regardless of where we finish this team will give you commitment, skill and as morais showed us with their number 11 tonight, entertainment! Class performance. Biggest gripe tonight though= Main stand uppers= when we have possesion and are passing the ball around at ease at the back, please stop gasping. This is a footballing team we have now. Believe in what they are doing instead of thinking the worst. Keepin that champagne on ice!
  13. Watched Taylor for large chunks of the game today when we were in possesion and out of it. He rarely puts in a strong challenge, Sloppy in control, Is unsure of his positioning when in the defence, Does not overlap after neat work to create the overlap, Seems knackered or not interested when we are on the attack and there is space for him to move into. At times it looked as though he was marking their players when we were on the attack! Space chris, space! I could go on but that would be silly. IMO he needs a few games out of the team to then earn his way back into it. When he switched to the right mid 2nd half he had a lot more about him. Very lucky today, but a crackin 3 points against a strong developed bournemouth. For me lewis made the difference, and credit must go to dickov for the tactical switch.
  14. Just as you left for the frog we asked several saints fans who said it was defo closed for refurb. We apprehended a local who took us to his local around the corner from the chapel. Had a couple in there before venturing to the casino sampling the 24hr mcdonalds enroute. Must applaud the landlady for providing extra toilet roll in a somewhat discreet way! Thanks to Mark also for backing the tired voice in the 2nd half. Keeping that champagne on ice, Burgerdarts
  15. DS- Any decent wet houses for after the game that you know of? I too have the luxury of the night in southampton central travelodge. Also best place before the game to warm the vocals? Keepin that champagne on ice Burgerdarts
  16. Im in. Starting off the day in OL1, passing through ipswich and then hopefully in southampton for 5pm ish for a few scoops. Staying the night then back to OL1 the next day. Will be myself + 4 of the oasis boys. Keepin that champagne on ice Burgerdarts
  17. Must say the level was much lower in the main stand upper than usual which made it hard to hear. Broady looked a lonely man at half time pacing strolling around. Not the easiest of jobs at the mo. Good luck to ya fella! Keepin that champagne on ice burgerdarts
  18. I agree. Lets all remember this season is to push on and build a squad capable of mounting a serious challenge next season. If we keep pushing on then who knows WE may even suprise a few teams THIS season. Keepin that champagne on ice!
  19. Fraid I am serious. Before tuesday I had the opinion that yeovil should be a team that we beat at home. They get there result at millwall and you start to think again. Remember last season-they are starting to become somewhat of a bogey team at bp. I think that we maybe falling into the trap of thinking because of their position in the table we will beat them. It is frustrating after tues performance but im sure during the course of the season we will play teams of yeovils ilk, play better than we did today(by the sounds of it) and lose. So for me at this point in the season with the players that we have available Im happy with a point and a clean sheet. Thats not to say im unhappy that we couldnt build on the hard work we put in and the quality of the performance on tues. Keepin that champagne on ice!
  20. To be fair(although I didnt go today) to get a point today after a very fast paced midweek game in rough conditions against an equally hard working side is a decent point. Another clean sheet is a massive plus going into the game at charlton. Think back to hartlepool and the thoughts that everybody had at that point. 10 points out of 12 will do me.
  21. IMO a point today is decent. It would have been just like latics to throw all the hard work away and lose today.
  22. If we play like we did on friday then I will be found in the "official" smoking area for much of the match easing the pain! Any meet up pubs before the game? What time you out from pal? Keeping that champagne on ice!
  23. Why not! Some how though I think 42 pints is a tall order. Your a better man than me to even try! On second thoughts lets give it a go! Positive thoughts before the game people. It worked at orient and made for a great atmos. Keeping that champagne on ice!
  24. Looks like its standing then. We are going to attempt the 42 pubs down gloucester road on sat eve. Half a pint in each pub. The challenge is on! Keeping that champagne on ice!
