They were the best ive seen at BP for a long time. A lot of people saying we couldnt get close to them/didnt press fast enough, if you press or get tight to players who are that comfortable under pressure, they will play around you and you will be left open. Tactics were to let them have it in their half but plenty of bodies around the edge of our box to stop any threaded through balls. How many blocks did we make on our edge? They got through once close to the end in our right back channel, and kean made a good save. Good tactical display and very mature of johnson to see we are playing a team who can outplay us, so lets find another way to win... Impressive.

I cant believe people are putting liam kelly back in the team infront of tidser. Kelly isnt good enough, is poor on the ball and doesnt want to get on it. Tidser did everything a player in the holding role should on tuesday and was top drawer all game. He starts. Or he would if kelly wasnt captain.

My godson leo was latics mascot tonight and we were raising money towards his surgery. He suffers a rare form of cerebral palsy and we need to raise £45000 to allow him to walk un aided, as the nhs wont fund it! The generosity of the latics and curzon fans was unbelievable and id just like to say a huge thankyou as we raised over £1000, pushing us towards £20,000. Leo will also be mascot for the huddersfield home game and is now a fully fledged latic! Good Lad! Thanks again, appreciated...

Picture this from Ryan Brookes point if view. tuesday night match away at gillingham, 18 man squad and you go all the way down there, warm up and then get told your not on the bench today lad, because that is what happens now, 18 man squad, 16 only for a match. i am sure players like him would rather have the oppourtunity to go on, instead of 7 hours down there on a coach .. get changed, jog about, without the chance of even playing, go and get changed, wait to watch the team, and then go back 7 hours after a totally pointless night.

Everyone keeps saying that we need to be patient over our summer signings but i think penney needs to move quick time. pre season begins shortley and surely he need a complete squad close to that date in order to get his plans and style across. i think we need another 7 at least and i dont thinks it will be done until days before the season begins and therefore result in a poor start to the season. i am excited by penney but i am getting more and more worried by the state of events - or lack of them. times must be bad because the rumours have even dried up on here! there will be nothing for the chron to right next week !!
