  1. Just had a tenner on TP at 25/1 Probably throwing my money away but heyho!
  2. There's no supermarket for basics so everything has to be bought from Disney shops. Keep a plastic bottle to fill up with water from the fountains to drink if you don't want to be constantly drinking fizzy pop. Steer clear of Hard Rock Cafe as it was rotten (maybe just my opinion) If youre taking little uns and they have dressing up costumes at home, squeeze one in your case as every kid seems to be walking around in one and they are quite expensive to buy there. If you're planning on getting pictures with the characters make sure you know when and where they will be as the queues get big and you end up trying to fight every man and his dog to get to the front. (It is like a military operation trying to meet your favourites) For the fireworks/light show at night go early and get comfy, it'll be a lot of sitting around and waiting and take something to keep the little uns occupied (iPad etc) and also maybe something to wrap around you while waiting as it can get chilly. (It's worth it though)
  3. RIP Betty, thoughts to your family. Players come and go but your name will be remembered by a lot of us. I remember the trips to lightwater valley, away to play junior Leeds, Blackburn, city etc. Junior Latics meetings were looked forward to for weeks in advance. You did a fantastic job. 4. I'm going to go for it starting at full price and going down a tenner for each win until the end of the season from when you sign up.
  5. Mine is telling me to come back on a match day as it isn't open now.
  6. I thought when he was appointed again that he may go back to chaddy and home dugout and make things familiar again. Not to the players as they don't know their Arse from their elbow but for the club. The RRE has been tried and I feel in my opinion hasn't worked and as Prozac said get the chaddy bouncing again, get the new bar open early, try and get the atmosphere going around the ground before 2.55pm when most people probably turn up from the local pubs.
  7. Id go and pick him up and drop him off at the main door if we could get him!
  8. I was at work today (up in Scotland) and a bloke asked me where I was from and who I supported. When I told him Latics he shook my hand and said well done, then started talking about how much he enjoyed Latics in the early 90s beating all before them. There will always be a future for lower league football, as much misery and disappointment we all feel, the bigger teams and their new 'fans' will never understand the feeling of a last minute winner or the like. It will get better in time, it just depends how long it takes to hit the bottom before we start rising again!
  9. Look on the plus side....... There will be no moaning who gets priority on the tickets!!!!!
  10. Hanging on the railings at the front of the chaddy. Inflatable yard dogs Going for a pie and bovril and missing a goal. (Always seemed to happen) Selling my season ticket reserve team vouchers to man city fans pretending they would get them in to the ground. (5-2 defeat) mugs!!!
  11. He should have done that on the night in question and he wouldn't be in this mess!!!
  12. For what it's worth which isn't a great deal, I think Kelly will go soon, Dunn will take over and Winchester will start playing regularly. We'll go on a decent run, Dunn will be hailed as the new messiah, Winchester will have an excellent season and go to next years euros. We will sell him for millions and the rest will be history!!! Or we will keep Kelly and the monotony will continue!
  13. Great game and still up there with one of the best matches watching Latics.
  14. The lookers used to have a bar downstairs and the junior Latics lounge next door with pool table etc in it. My dad went for a pint, I went and met my like minded friends and had fun. Why not when the new stand eventually opens have the same sort of thing. A big area where the younger ones can go and play pool, table football, play station, arcade games etc. Put a tuck shop in the corner so they can buy their own sweets and drinks. make it fun so they will tell their friends who then may want to tag along at the next home game. Don't make it all about chaddys gang/boundary blues. Some kids may think they're too cool for that kind of thing. And don't make it all about the football. If that is the only thing the parents are dragging them along to, it won't work. Make it an afternoon for something for them to do rather than just 90 mins sitting outside in the cold. I don't know how good the chaddys gang/boundary blues set up is now but I remember when I was younger I counted down the days to go to junior Latics meetings/Xmas party's with the hope of being picked to be a mascot and I remember they were always sold out. You could meet all the players, there were always activities where some players showed what they did in training, question and answer sessions programme stalls. We used to go and play against other teams (I went to city, Blackburn and Leeds) where we played their junior clubs, again I don't know if this still happens but I still talk about this 25/30 yrs later to my little girl hoping she will feel the excitement that I did about going to Latics! Plant the seeds now and they will eventually bloom.
  15. Hollands meat and potato pie Bovril Clix chewing gum Fish and chips (crisps/biscuity things) Done.
