In December I went to Madison Square Garden to watch an ice hockey match. Halfway up the stairs to the press box I spotted a bloke in the crowd wearing a Latics cap. I congratulated him on his choice of headwear. He stared back blankly. I told him I was from Oldham and a Latics fan. He stared back blankly. In the end I just walked off.

Are any Latics fans standing as Independents in them? Browsed through the list on the council website and can't see anyone.

Diego is right. As mentioned in the piece there is no appeal. The council have written to the CC to correct some inaccuracies in their report but that does not constitute an appeal, hence them looking at alternative sites.
