I’m sure Pete’s a smart man. And as such he’ll know that recent weeks are a glittering gem on his CV that’ll be most useful in the future, be it with us or elsewhere. And taking full charge of Latics now wouldn’t be a good move.

The win was the first thing I thought about this morning when I woke up before I’d even opened my eyes. It really has lifted my mood on a dark rainy day. And the support from those lucky enough to be there is as great as the action on the pitch. Days like yesterday are rare but boy oh boy aren’t they sweet when they roll around.

It’s a poor league. But we’re poor too. I think AL is completely off his rocker. And before anyone hints that my complete and established distrust and dislike of him may be based on things other than how he is attempting to run the club, it’s not. I just think he is bonkers, and if Corney was suffocating the club then AL lools like he’s snapping its neck. He might believe he os doing things “putting the club first”. That doesn’t mean he’s doing things right. I think he’s doing everything wrong. “Slowly slowly” my arse.

First of all, regardless of how significant or insignificant it is, fair play to the Chron for putting it up to AL. Second, I’m guessing they know no more than most of us. But anyone who has even a passing interest in the club surely has pertinent questions they’d like answered. Thirdly, looks to me like the Chron have put the questions to AL, but have been blanked. Hence these articles. In the grand scheme of things I think AL has much bigger problems than the Chron inquiring about whether or not he has a pot to piss in, or is more suited to circus ownership. Hence he is blanking them and they are putting out comment saying he’s blanking them. Ultimately it’s all just the same as it was before the Chron went beyond basic match reports. They have nothing to lose by having a pop at AL. It’s not like they are getting any stonking exclusives these days that they risk losing by having a go at AL. The Chron knows as much as we do - or less in some cases. Again, at least they’re trying. But if/when it all comes to a head, don’t expect the Chron to have a hand in it. (No disrespect to Chron intended). Lee Sinnott and Mike Keegan on the other hand, I for one am grateful for the information they put forward.
