  1. The radius begins at 6 miles, so long as at least 1 league club is included, it's ends there, else it's extended until 1 league club is found. This has been thought about long and hard my friend!
  2. A radius is drawn around the hospital an individual is born in, for example, if you're born in the Royal Oldham Hospital, you would have Latics, Dale and Ashton United. Take your pick and forever hold your peace, or face prison!
  3. Ooops, sorry about that, am on my way to Lords and I pressed the wrong button. My birth certificate theory works when the individual becomes old enough to like football, the parents then inform said youngster of listed clubs. I would make it law so I could lock people up if they ignored it and supported Man Utd instead. The only amendment to the rule would be the carrying over of clubs from your parents birth certificate, that way our friend from Stafford would be covered.
  4. I live in London, and I get... "They're :censored: "... to which I reply, "how good they are is not a selection criteria unless you are a cretin, who do you support?", in hushed tones "Man United" comes the reply. At which point I explain that if I were prime minister, I would bring about a law that listed the clubs you could choose from on your birth certificate.
  5. He talks about City's play off final against Gillingham being in 1990. I think he'll find another Royle team was tearing up the country in those days! ;)
  6. Mike Keegan seemed to think the Ollie Lancashire rumour had some substance yesterday....?
  7. Till we play b@stard Taylor.... and Smith (maybe). I'd love em in the league cup.
  8. August 1990, Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 (Bull 2) Oldham Athletic 3 (Marshall 3). End of that season 1990-91, 2nd Division Champions!
  9. ...maybe I've missed it, although I can't imagine I have... What's happening to PG? His contract was extended to the end of the season, LJ praised him / all the back room staff, since then, silence....? Is he staying? Has he gone?
  10. Couldn't agree more LaticsPete. No, loyalty is irrelevant. We only gave him a chance no-one else appeared willing to do. Forget that tho, that means nothing cos he turned up for 6 games. I don't wish him any ill, although like others I cannot wish him well if its a b@stard Rovers shirt he pulls on, I just feel this seemingly imminent decision is a microcosm of the greedy world in which we live today!
  11. I thank him for his 6 games and 6 goals; 3 cup, 3 league. I hope for his sake taking more money now but playing less doesn't mean he ends up in League 2 in 2 years time.... when he could've continued to enhance himself with us by playing & scoring regularly with... (I quote) 'an improved offer'. His 'agent', an agent I've no doubt was nowhere to be seen when he was plying his trade with Solihull & Droylsden will tell him loyalty is an irrelevance, maybe it is, I just happen to disagree in this instance!
  12. I've gotta give LJ credit, he not mucking about. I wasn't one of those who jumped on PD's back, but this does feel very different to the way he was managing player recruitment between seasons. Hope LJ's method proves PD's to be wrong.
  13. ....according to Matt Chambers on twitter. Montano maybe?
  14. Are we ignoring the William Gros suggestion on here?
  15. It's on the Fishul now.... Demonstrating LJ & Corney have agreed on him using twitter to announce it?
  16. Where has Simon Ferry's name come from? If he transferred [from Celtic to Swindon] for £300k, I'm guessing his wage will be out of our depth? The website that isn't supposed to be referenced on here says, 37yo Jamie Cureton - can't see that either myself. I thought LJ said, one unproven, one slightly more proven (about a fortnight ago)? If so, JCH is the latter, the former is gonna be someone who's not played in L1, so not Simon Ferry or Jamie Cureton?
  17. How do you know the price of drinks at Old Trafford, we haven't played there since 1994.
  18. That was the same game... It was a young lad who fell off a crash barrier and split his head open.
  19. Does anyone else remember Huddersfield away @ Leeds Road, in the late 80's where a Huddersfield fan scaled the barrier to punch the linesman who had allowed Ritchie (or Tommy Wright) through to score for us?
  20. All that is wrong about modern football summed up in this disgracefully tragic story.
