We live in Greenfield but have holidayed over there for years and now have a static caravan over there. Away game priority is not usually an issue. One coach and its not normally full.
I watched Whitby beat Morpeth 1-0 in the 3rd qualifying round yesterday. Cracking second half. 2 portly goalies who had blinders. I'm a season ticket holder at both clubs and would love us to draw them. The match sponsor was a 65+ year old fan who was sat in his usual seat to my right. With 5 minutes to go he yelled across the Stand to his left to the stadium announcer . 'Oi Tony sponsors man of the match Shane Bland.' Crowd applauding before it was officially announced.
That's interesting because they have been doing well and there is a view that it's because of what he did when he owned the club. I don't know if he still does or has àn interest.
The clown who sits behind me said ' he was on 20 minutes before he touched the ball on Tuesday so I'm going to time how long he takes before his first touch today.' Thereby missing his first touch within 5 seconds of coming on.
Fair point, will do. The lad at Worksop and Green at Scarborough are wingers worth a punt. Greening might well be a manager worth going for. I'll keep my eyes open.
I saw Ashton on Saturday and Cusani scored twice and I was impressed with him. First goal was an excellent first touch of a dropping ball and a good finish. Second he was upfield on his own with only the keeper to beat and looked a mile offside.
He's big and played on the left up front. I'm not sure he's a giant but I suppose that's relative. Interestingly the Ashton fans I was speaking to were giving him grief! Another one in that league who's looked good is Luke Hall winger at Worksop. Already been sent off this season he'd fit in!
The general feeling seems to be that there is a buyer in the wings and that it will be completed within the 42 days. My concern would be that its been dragged out for ages now. Is there brinkmanship going on from one side or the other? This could still go belly up.
