  1. Tried calling him Paddy, he's not got back to me. Expect he'll be doing press ups.
  2. I'm going for a jolly up. It'll be good to see some old faces. Taking a Leicester supporting mate, I've told him to be prepared. To be fair he has seen us before.
  3. I still read once in a while, but can't comment as I don't go anymore other than the odd away game. I still long for Corney to :censored: off then I'll be back. Considering Shrewsbury on the train next week, plenty of beer and I'll forget the crap football.
  4. Just a gut feeling Lags, nothing I could substantiate with fact. I just grew to think that SC didn't have the best interests of the club at heart. 55, I stopped going because of the above.
  5. My ten bob's worth on this. Any role in the trust is a tough one; moreso I expect as the trust and club have stagnated over the years. I have my own reasons for staying away from BP, but I think I will be back sooner rather than later after this week's shenanigans. The primary role of ' the fan on the board' was to be a watchman. So Latics fans didn't have a Moore part 2 happening without any vision of it up front. So far as I have been able to tell, the Marwan Koukash and Ched Evans sagas were not reported to the general populace of BP. These were exactly the kind of situations that should have been shouted up in my mind. Not every detail, just a heads up. If that meant the fan on the board was excluded from meetings, then so be it. Read the primary objectives. Not one of them request that Corney has a whipping boy. I fully understand that whilst the three amigos of the horsemen of the apocalypse had the club on a relatively even keel, the trust saw fit to step back; but they have failed miserably in being the watchmen over the club on behalf of the fans. Time for a rethink.
  6. Is Baz preparing for a long night? Looks like he has his pyjamas on under that fleece.
  7. Thanks Alex. I'm very impressed. Latics obviously have a budding Spielberg. You can't even see the strings and Corneys words are perfectly synchronised.
  8. Oh, the policing. T'was way overboard. Threatened with a section 27 if we didn't get on the six o'clock train.
  9. Enjoyed it, but after so long it's strange not having my heart in it. Two ordinary teams and we were better in the last third. Was impressed by Harkins the Zidane of Latics © Frankly Mr Shankley, he's got ice in his veins. I think the only player I had ever seen live before was Rabchuka when he was on loan, possibly add in Grounds and Wes at Walsall last season if they played. Highlight? Great performance from the fans and it was fabulous to see so many old friends. There's still a wealth of passion there. Do the club know how to tap into though?
  10. Nope. Talking to the good lady discussing being on Question time last week and missed my step in the back garden - unfortunately QT didn't happen due to Maggies selfishness. You can blame her for my kncked ankle too.
  11. At cost price £38.00, Pic to Euston only. I can't make it due to knackered ankle ligaments.
  12. Truly amazed it hasn't happened on a greater scale after this weeks shenanigins.
  13. Stitch - would need to be a very significant offer to tempt him back into football.
  14. Fair play to Corney, very magnanimous. 30 or 40 applicants already. tries to pay attention to the fans. The boards neck on the block with this appointment. TP to take charge of training tomorrow, after a tongue in cheek nod to Jack Dearden. Muz will probably hep out. TP wont be doing anything other than helping - he stays with the yoofs. Football brings incredible highs and lows.
  15. Come on Barry, Latics have lurched from disaster to crisis on a regular basis in these last ten years. Where is there any concrete evidence of progress under TTA? I will apologise for the language I have used to those offended, but despite the fact I don't go anymore other than an odd one off here and then, it doesn't mean I'm not interested or that i don't care about a club that for much of my life I have cherished. Whilst I'm no Prozac, I remember all the big events in my life as Latics related anecdotes. I just don't buy into anymore, I have no more proof than gut feeling that something is going to go terribly wrong and we will be in a worse situation than when it all went belly up post Chris Moore. On the flip side, there's no proof that anything good is happening to the club, bar a few decent results in a competition where we have absolutely nothing to lose. Dunno. But neither does anyone else. So opinions it is then. However diverse they may be.
  16. And one goal behind fifth bottom and it will be basement footy.
  17. why thank you, though today I spoiled your perception and went to Walsall. I dont comment unless I attend.
  18. Enjoy with your band of ever shrinking inert 'better than yous'. Don't ask any questions, you'll never hear any lies.
