It's just with you saying that we need to deliver decent winning football again to get an atmosphere??? Turns out that was very wrong because we drew 0-0 today and it was the best atmosphere at a league match for some years!

Shame you wasn't in the main stand today (I know you go in there occasionally). The noise was the best I have heard from a home crowd for many years in the league!

As a supporter of nigh on 40 years (but still like to get very vocal) today's effort was :censored:ing phenomenal. Well done mate, please keep it up!

Sorry Doc, no offence meant... It really wasn't 100% clear! I respect your views, but beg to differ because today was a different class and I haven't ever seen that atmosphere at Latics with only 4,000 there!

Whats that going to achieve? We need 2000 regular fans in RRE to make some noise!

This, this and this again is why it should all be about the RRE. I have been a ST holder in the main stand for many years (25 years) and love Latics so much...however TTA's reluctance to spend anything over the last few years has made me seriously consider renewing. I am definitely renewing after today (probably was anyway) because that atmosphere was fantastic! Today was great and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up because it's always the away fans that stand out at BP. Let's take this and embrace it for the future of OAFC, it's only a stand move at the end of the day.

I know it will upset a few but tough, it's time the club stopped allowing people to make the choice. If we had that atmosphere every week we would bring back some lapsed fans I reckon. We would also attract younger fans who want a better matchday experience.

Has to be the best atmosphere for many years in the league. The RRE got everyone going, even where I sit in the main stand. Most of the chaddy end didn't bother joining in. Sorry but there is no comparison and if we want to gain new support we need an atmosphere... Chaddy for away fans and RRE for Latics please!!!

It's taken me a long time to realise how badly the club is being run and I am very worried for our future. He doesn't engage the fans anymore, instead all he has is negatives for us. I dread to think where we would be without playing Liverpool 3 seasons running in money spinning matches. At the end of the day I really hope I'm wrong and most on here are right about their intentions, however he seems to be dying to hand the reigns to the fans (without the land) and watch it all die. As for the stand, I remember a stand supposedly being built for several years at Rotherham..... It never was, instead they very nearly folded several times. I will only believe it when it's full of expectant Latics fans.

Once again you have me all wrong Leyland. TTA saved us and it says that in my post. The ":censored:wittery (as you say) of Oldham Council" is and for many years has been there for all to see. Our home attendances have dropped by 50% in the last 10 years, can you imagine the outcome if that happened elsewhere? You totally missed the point of my post because I don't want him to just "hand it over to the fans" as he keep's threatening. That would be the death of OAFC...simple as! I have started to wonder if that's what TTA want if I'm honest. They started backing us to the hilt, it went tits up and then the other 2 bailed. Corney is very rarely there these days, so perhaps they would like it if we folded and they could stop backing us? If you keep diluting the product, you will piss the customers off and that is what has happened. I want him (them) to back us or sell us............but nobody is going to do that while they are claiming a "League 2 sized club" is worth millions of pounds!

I wouldn't go that far but they have made a number of very bad decisions, which he or they have never accepted. My frustration is that it is always the fans!

Of course, a lot of what he says makes perfect sense. However my main frustration with Corney is that none of it is ever the fault of him or the other 2. Yes they bailed us out of the :censored: and make no bones, we would have folded......however knock down a stand and constantly promise the ground to be rebuilt and keep taking the promise away (not all in the hands of them, but other's have managed it... Brighton, Shrewsbury, Rotherham, Morecambe to name but a few). Then give us several years in a 3 sided :censored: hole, while selling the best talent for next to nowt??? Okay, I can except the loss of the likes of Baxter for such a paltry fee because of the circumstances. The sale of price for Tarky is just undefendable though? I mean Brentford for that price? Sorry Simon, I don't want you to sell us down the river but if you own a football team then you need to back it financially from time to time or the customers will get fed up. You continue to tell us you will walk away and give it to the fans but nobody wants that because it will fold. If you are serious about finding a buyer like you have always promised, then you need to start asking less for the land and the club and we can move on. Stop blaming the fans all the time and take some ownership for bad decisions you and your pals made and back us or sell us. I never thought I would see the day when little Rotherham were getting three times as many fans as us through the door. And before anyone has a go, I am still a season ticket holder who attends every home match (and several away) and pay what I can into Playershare.

I don't think we should be that bothered really, after all it's Tarky and Brentford not Messi and Barcelona!!!
