Regarding new ownership, anybody but Barry Owen and those associated with the current regime. We need a fresh start and clean sweep.

Sounds like Barry Owen wrote that statement. Because you just summed him up with your comments. Steve Brown is another one who shouldn't be anywhere near the club. Brags about working for the Oystens at Blackpool as a badge of honour, considering one of the Oystens is a convicted rapist.

Because the current status quo is not succeeding for them.

Maybe Sheriden got wind of next seasons lack of plan at this point.

The situation at this club you could quite easily compare it to Randy Learner at Aston Villa, but on a smaller scale. These guys came in with good intentions of promotion put some money in to begin with, then realized there was a lot more to it than first thought and have since tried to keep there investment to a minimum while slowly replacing promotion ambition with just enough to keep us a float of relegation. But in Villas case there luck ran out and it will with latics if the board keep following this path.

Then they need to make the necessary investments or changes to make us attractive if they want to sell the club.

The board have got look at this situation in 3 ways. 1) Go for experienced manager, if they don't give him money for players, at least give him money for coaching to get the best out of the current players. 2) Go for the inexperienced cheap manager option, but give him money to buy good players to compensate for his inexperience. 3) Seriously step up the advertising for investment or buyer for the club, saying it on the radio and a poxy youtube video, won't cut it. Advertise in the broad sheets and business papers. Go to business conventions.

They will go for the cheap inexperienced option and give him nothing to support him. The board has this constant knack of screwing things up from a good/positive position.

I think the bigger concern to fans on both the pro and anti Corney argument, is that Sheriden left to go to a club in a lower division under a transfer embargo. What does that say about the financial state and the ambition/direction of the club?That to me is where the fans need answers for.

Because the budget for players was a lot smaller than he first thought or told by the board back in January. It is no coincidence they had a meeting last Monday regarding next seasons budget and he is gone by Friday.

In regards to championship clubs with low attendances not doing well. Look at Rotheram. Also our fanbase would increase the more successful we are. The board and owner have not grasp the concept of, if you build it they will come.

After the achievements of Walsall, burton and ultimately Leicester I no longer buy into the boards bull:censored: that we can't achieve. It's more of they don't want to or can't be bothered to achieve.

Agreed! It just rams home how incompetent and unambitious the board along with the owners are.

We are now in the bottom four.

They either sack Dunn, bring a more experienced manager to steady the ship or they sack Holden and bring in an experienced No2 to help Dunn. Too much inexperience in the set up.

That was my main concern about this management appointment. The fact that the novice manager would be tapping into the experience of his assistant manager. Who's only tactic is one up front. I was not a fan of the Darren Kelly appointment, but I was more concerned with Dean Holden, being his number 2.

I think that is Dean Holden's influence and that's what concerns me, having him as Assistant Manager. He played one up front a lot when he was temp manager.

Having just read and seen the interview with Barry Owen on the BBC website. Then watched the interview with the commercial director of ZEN office. ZEN office supplies did something which the latics current board didn't do this week and have not done for a long time. Listened to the majority of the fans! The one main thing I got out of this mess over the last week with this current board, is how much they disregard what's left of there fanbase! The only time they engage the fans is to rant about attendances. The only time they listen to the fans is when there finances are threatened, through poor season ticket sales and the threat of sponsorship loss! It does not need to be like this! They have got to realize that the mess this has caused for club and fans. Before any reconciliation can be done.

I don't like myself for saying this. But if this was the trade off for having the 3 Amigos saving the club. Maybe we could have gone down the Wimbledon route all those years ago. But one thing that needs to happen is Barry has to be removed as fans rep on the board.

Perfectly well put sly! This is exactly where I'm at now. I have started to put away all my memorabilia of Latics, I hate those associated with this signing! Because one of the first things I put away was my Granddad's Latics scarf and it's one of the few memories I have of him! I got quite angry and upset at this!

I hope he gets injured during training, career threatening!
