  1. Played well against the best team in the division. Got a point, probably deserved all three. Happy days.
  2. Give over. The fans paid their money knowing full well the club could sign whoever they wanted, be it on this high profile or not. That money should not be refunded.
  3. Those who are boycotting may as well start boycotting this place too. The team needs your support. By all means have a pop at the board, the directors, Corney, but you dont just stop going because of one player. The 11 players on the pitch on saturday need your support-they have done no wrong in all this. Moaning about what an 'outrage' the whole thing is and declaring that 'you'll never go again' does no good to the team of players (excluding Evans) who will be playing on Saturday. Nor does it do your club (the club that you all supposedly love) any favours in potentially reaching its highest league position in 10 years. I'll be there on Saturday, as I will every saturday forthcoming. One player does not make a team. Get behind those at the club who have had no say in this and support them. They need it.
  4. I blame the media sh*itstorm which has engulfed the club, the fans, directors and sponsors. Yes, the board have shown themselves to be incompetent and weak in terms of handling the PR, and in their decision making, but it is the media which has had the biggest impact on this sorry affair.
  5. To all those who seem to think LJ has taken us to the bottom 4-this team was assembled pretty much in one close season. Some results notwithstanding (bear in mind our heaviest defeat thus far is 2-0) I think we are playing some decent stuff and there is a renewed sense of optimism and positivity around the club.
  6. Let's not write him off yet. I imagine he is just cover as Byrne is likely to be off.
  7. One highlight has to be those 7 minutes at Forest, especially after spending 15 minutes moaning about how bad we were at half time and that we stood no chance!!! But, to me, the best highlight was beating Liverpool. How could it not be? Celebrating with my dad and clinging on to him in those final few seconds in the realisation we were going to win. That isnt my best football memory of 2013, but my best football memory ever.
  8. Bouzy M'Voto Tarky Baxter Mellor Croft Byrne Rest can be binned for me. A fresh start would be good. Reckon the majority of our team will struggle to find teams in League One or higher next season.
  9. It's a sign of the times. Not many people will have wanted to spend £20 on a ticket on a freezing tuesday night when their team was bottom of the league against a team that many probably thought would batter them.
  10. Maybe, just maybe, it would have looked better if we had appointed an assistant with him today. As is is, once again come tomorrow we have a bloke on the touchline without some major help.
  11. So no news on assistant? With two big games this week? Brilliant.
  12. Not sure why people are dead against Phil Brown. The man would put a rocket up the arses of some of these players. I can think of worse appointments.
  13. I thought he was decent yesterday. Didn't really appreciate people 'cheering' him off the pitch though.
  14. Decent this. Will give our midfield a push.
  15. I'm not too upset about Furman going. Quite frankly, his appearances since AFCON have suggested that he hasnt got the fight in him. Plus, we always seem to operate more defensively when he is in the team. Much prefer Wez in the same position. Just hope we get a good fee for him a la Dale Stephens.
  16. Boston United, stemming from my dad going to watch them in the 80's.
  17. Disgrace. I was fuming by the final whistle. Still annoyed today. Never in my time watching football have I seen so much bias, he may as well have worn their bloody kit and jumped in with their lot celebrating their second goal (which took 5 minutes to get back to kick off so who knows where 4 bloody minutes came from.) Utter disgrace.
  18. Hopefully a gate over 5,000 tomorrow. Will be good to see!
  19. You only need to watch his movement, his flick on's and ball control to see how much he has come on since September. A run in the team since Derbyshire left has brought his game on massively. Those 4 goals against Everton/Liverpool werent flukes, no matter how much people may try and say they were. We need to keep him, as I see him being a big part of our team, not just in moving away from the bottom 4 but in pushing on next year.
  20. Im not sure its an issue of pride, but technical ability, which he lacks. He has been next to useless for us however.
  21. For me, It has to be Smith's goal against Everton. I will never forget the feeling when that goal went in. Euphoric. Although that magic 7 minutes at Forest runs it close. We looked unstoppable!
  22. I have loved every minute of this cup run. What a journey. Back to reality slightly on saturday but i guarantee I'll wake up on saturday with the same feeling I get every week, anticipation for 3pm. The club gets in your veins!
