  1. If Corney paid for the stand to built using both joint club funds and money he secured from elsewhere, then the fact that both the club and OEC as a seperate entity share the money makes perfect sense?
  2. The Examiner seem to have grabbed that from nowhere, unless I've missed something. Not sure Robins is someone I'd be too happy about, then again I'm not sure any of them would be.
  3. The idea of AFC v MK must fill Winkleman with dread, and highlights that besides a nice quarter full stadium and one season in the Championship he hasnt taken the club anywhere. All this time and all those millions and AFC are one game away from being at the same level, the story is a great one.
  4. I missed that about Bradford, when did they lose Parkinson. He's done amazing things for them, on a side note it will be interesting to see their Season Ticket prices in the long term.
  5. I would personally be al for this, we have a lot of games and this would improve smaller teams of having some sucess in the league. How many divisions that seperates us and the Prem is all realative, as we are a million miles away. Can't see it happening, but would like to see it.
  6. Banned until January, no chance. Best we could hope for is him being on non-contract terms until then, and hope he doesn't get a better offer in the meantime. Loved him while he was here, but since then he has only gone to take a total downturn. If he is still free when the ban ends, and we are chasing for the play-offs he's worth a look Otherwise steer clear, I don't see him staying fit until then even if he has a club.
  7. It's a difficult one with Leeds, for a manager already in a stable job is it really worth the risk? A massive club no doubt, even if he does what most would consider a good job Celino will sack him. I maybe talking with Rose Tinted Glasses here and Leeds may too big to down, but surely it's not a simple choice.
  8. Gutted to see Jones go, him and Kelly's partnership was one that looked to be getting stronger before being moved out onto left this season.
  9. We had two goalscorers last season; Derbyshire and Barnard. Their records here weren't great, because we didn't create chances. A number nine who can bring players into play will suit Baxter, who can bag 20+.
  10. If you ask me the offer was made verbally, it was up to Croft to get back in touch so negotiations could start. I can't imagine a club sitting down saying: "There's our offer," and printing out a new copy every time an amendment is made. If I was to guess I'd say it's more likely to be: "Our offer is......get back to us and we will draw up the contract."
  11. How many lower league clubs can ask that same question, I think our record for bringing players through is above average. It is risky to put young players in those specialised positions, most get released before they get a chance to prove they have enough to offer.
  12. If you judge it from a Peterborough point of view it's wrong, but you can't. That's why victims of a crime don't choose the sentence, you have to be objective. Both sides played out a blinder, a 2-2 draw is value for money. They found out Peterborough had thrown away 2 leads and gone behind to a Palace side who were on a terrible run, if Barnsley go for the winner and caught on the break they go down. If Huddersfield's back makes a mistake, they go down.
  13. Would be a good signing, can play right wing too. Steven Schumacher would be a good signing from that team too. I also saw Matt Sparrow and Alan Judge had been released, Judge will end up at a Championship side I'd imagine though.
  14. Rob Purdie, Keigan Parker, Pavel Abbot, Dean Brill, Dean Windass, Lee Barnard, Jon Worthington, Ritchie Jones, Chris Swailes, Joe Colbeck, Neal Trotman and there's bound to be more from when I've been a season ticket holder but they came off top of my head.
  15. You make them sound like non-league players; it's BILLY SHARP AND BWP, everyone knows them. Quite possibly the worse scout ever, I can see it know: "Mr Mancini I've been all over the world, and I've found two players you may not be aware of them, I think they will two of the best players ever. they would jump at the chance to come here." Mancini: "Really? Who?" (waits a second for dramatic effect) "A boy called Messi and the other is a winger called Ronaldo."
  16. Welcome to Oldham Lee, I don't like it but I wasn't at the interview therefore I don't know what he said, what his plansare, who his backroom staff or anything. As for this whole protest thing, what a load of crap, instead of protesting turn up to a game. If more turned up, maybe we would have Dowie (not that I ever wanted him anyway), maybe we would have a squad made up of fighters rather than spinless twerps. I'm not saying it's the fans fault we are in this mess, it's not because fans turn up. When they can, work, family and money etc permitting.
  17. I'm not toally sure it will be Johnson, think Brown/Horton/Johnson may be on the cards, but I'll still there on Tuesday and there next season whatever division, whoever the manager.
  18. Smith all the way, and I'd play both push Baxter back up to striker and put Banard on the bench. We were over-run in the middle last week, and Baxters not influencing the games as much since he dropped back.
