  1. Fair play to many Fulham fans who were very complementary after the match about our play and attitude on and off the pitch, so many said we deserved it through pure effort and 'wanting it' more - also several said they were disgusted with their 'dive' to get a penalty, a good few said it was not the Fulham way to cheat and were glad it was (brilliantly !) saved as they didnt want to win by cheating !! Refreshing for oppo fans to say things like this, but hey ho, we won deservedly , onwards and upwards !
  2. Hi all, have taken early retirement and moving to Spain so culling a lot of clutter and came across a 14 inch high heavy glass paperweight of Oldham Owl given to match sponsors back in the day (this is marked limited edition 29/100). Inscription is Latics v Tottenham , 20th April 1994. Now Latics played Spurs on 20th April 1992 and won 1-0 with great individual goal from Nick Henry into RRE for those who remember the golden age ! (we also beat Spurs 2-1 in December that year, Sharpe and Olney I think scored for us). We played Spurs in May 1994 and lost 2-0, yet the inscription is 20th April 1994 so I dont really know if it was from 1992 or 1994 match, however its a great heavy and unique paperweight from a golden age of Latics beating all in premier league. I cant attach photos as system is telling me file is too large, but its free to a good home for any Latics fan who wants a piece of history as well as a fantastic piece of art ! Collect from Wardle area of Rochdale, pls pm me if interested, many thanks.
  3. If you havnt got a ticket for Latics allocation and don't want to risk being challenged by GMP or stewards then simply pitch up to Spotland this week and buy one from their ticket office then simply show it to any steward / GMP and enter quietly !! Easy as pie. Rochdale are notorious for their cctv and trying to evict fans who stand etc at h-t. I think anyone causing any aggro will soon be dealt with by the authorities - causing trouble at a football match risks banning orders or jail - it just aint worth it. Also as I live in Rochdale I know anyone who is thinking of taxi / driving up Roach Valley way off the 627M will be gridlocked for ages - also same for Spotland Road. Get there early folks !! Cemetery is a good boozer but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't allow away fans in. So many pubs in Rochdale shut down over the years that there arnt many left near the ground but Radcliffe Arms always ok just outside the ground on little car park. Metrolink a good shout and town centre pubs before 20-25 min brisk walk to ground.
  4. some old skool 1970's from the back of the Chaddy when it was wooden boards and good acoustics, silk scarves and a lifetime ago .... ... 'we dont carry hammers we dont carry lead we only carry hatchets to bury in your head etc ...... totally un-pc and well out of order with modern times but popular back in the day along with the full version of 'no-nay never' ' I went to an alehouse I use to frequent and I told the landlady my money was spent ... etc..... Different world
