That we may recruit players that are seen as an upgrade but until they get out on the pitch and prove it the jury will be out.  There was very little criticism of any of the signings over the last 20 months, until they played...

Because they all appeared to be decent signings on paper? TBH I wouldn’t have thought that the vast majority of our fanbase really knew too much about any of them first hand.

All we can go off is their previous record and trust that the recruitment department have done their ‘due diligence’.

I still think that even with the shortfall of quality in key positions any decent manager/coach should have been able to get them to perform to a far better standard than they have shown!

FWIW I don't think the season ticket money is actually that big a deal. It's relative peanuts in the grander scheme of things.

So, we apparently sold 4550 season tickets. If you average that out at £200 it’s around £900k and with the increase for next season a similar take up would be almost £1.2m….I’d hardly call it peanuts!

    God willing 🙏

I wouldn’t be overly upset if he resigned or was sacked but I think next season will be a reset anyway and in that respect I don’t think getting another manager in will change things very much to be honest.

The only acquisition to excite me would be Pete Wild but that’s probably not an option right now especially if he were to get Barrow promoted.

If it weren’t for the Lemmies he would almost certainly have still been here and we’d probably have been at least one division higher.

We had the perfect manager here already, unfortunately, it was at the wrong time!😞

Well he can’t get in a match day squad that contains a 28 year old centre back and a central midfielder who can’t pass a ball.

So he’s currently about 6th choice in a midfield that’s weak as piss.

I’m not disagreeing with you and the fact he’s given him an 18 month contract is alarming to say the least!

He may have been bought with the future in mind but he hasn’t shown much potential so far.

For me, It was a totally pointless signing when we were crying out for players who could go straight in….baffling to say the least!

Sadly, it's time to say goodbye and I've gone for all of the above to go, yep, even Big Mike.

Others should/will be joining them I'm guessing, although I can't say that I'll lose any sleep over it.

Yep…..we’ll be writing the last 2 years off and almost starting from scratch again unfortunately.

Whether it be Mellon or whoever, the board have a massive decision to make.

One thing is for sure we absolutely cannot afford to make any more mistakes!!

  6. OK, the football has been really poor and we haven’t progressed as we would have liked but the club need you more than ever!

If you listen to today’s BPAS podcast on you tube you will have a better understanding of just how much the Rothwell’s have put in and continue to put in to our football club.

We don’t go to Oldham to watch fantastic free flowing football, if that’s what you want then stick to watching the Premiership on Sky/TNT etc.

Next season we lose the parachute payments from the EFL and as a result will lose our academy.

If we want our club to grow and prosper then we must buy a Season ticket, if sales fall off due to the product on offer the Rothwell’s might just start to think what’s the point, if the fans aren’t behind us why should we bother.

Even though I will only be able to attend perhaps 50% of the games I’ve bought one at £220 which works out at £9.56 a match.
We almost lost the club altogether and IMO it’s a small price to pay.

We’ve come along way in the 2 years post ‘Lemmies’ but the owners aren’t going to get everything right all the time.
If we stick with them and support them financially I have no doubt whatsoever that we will definitely get there!

The football over the last few years has been awful and not worth the money at all but we all want a successful club contesting the promotion places. Keep backing the club and we will get there!

I urge all of you to get that

season ticket and show Frank that he is not wasting his time and his money!!

Once you stop seeing him joivially walking freely around the ground before each home match and on away days then it's start-to-worry time.

Successful business people learn quickly from mistakes and never make the same ones twice. I'm sure it went on record (via DR's podcast interview maybe?) that they had a plan to achieve promotion to the FL within four years. The sooner the better would be a bonus. I don't think that's neccessarily off track, but we've had a bloodied nose in the first couple of rounds.

We’ll have done well if can get there in another 2 seasons!

I don't believe for a single second that the last couple of months is all down to the quality of the squad, not for one second. If that was the case no way would they have gone in the run that took us 5th and looking nailed on for the play offs. Something happened.

Even if something has happened and they have downed tools, they still need fucking off for being unprofessional. There is no excuse for not giving of their best for their employers and the supporters!!

Our club is mental agreeing to this.

All the advantage goes to Halifax

Why so? We’ve pissed away every single advantage we’ve gained and more over the last few weeks!!

I’d be a damn site more upset if I was a Halifax fan going for a playoff place and having to travel to Accrington twice & now Chesterfield for a fucking home game.

Anyway the only way we were getting 3 points was if the league handed them to us on a plate!

I won’t be bothering going either and will be seeking a refund. It will be interesting to see our fans reaction to our exploits this season at the final home game on Saturday.

Why this obsession with paying players off? Tell them in no uncertain terms that even though they are under contract, they will not be part of the first team picture next season and they are welcome to go out on loan for the season or seek a permanent move away. Most footballers, despite what we may think, would probably prefer to be playing rather than sidelined doing nowt!

Don’t you think they’ve already been trying to do that….
