  1. Turned off commentary and turned on the TV. Couldn’t listen to the dross any longer. I’ll look for the final score later.
  2. Bring back Kewellball, attack attack attack. Win one, lose one, draw one, better than a point per game and more entertaining !
  3. Iacovitti working his magic at Ross County, bottom of the league and manager sacked.
  4. Abysmal performance apart from the first 5 minutes - couldn't string two passes together. Side looks completely short of confidence and apart from Lang (occasionally) the team carries no goal threat. O'Grady couldn't trap a bag of cement. Really don't know where a win is coming from based on what I've seen. Lincoln had a pattern to their play, we had none. Goodness knows what they do in training, but there is no evidence on the pitch of any plan.
  5. Silly by Baxter. Dapo not ready for L2 even before the injury. Not convinced we practice any pattern of play in training other than hopeful balls from the back (unlikely to pay off against Lincoln!). I'm not even sure we practice throw ins as most of them go to the opposition! Really think the season is a write off; roll on the summer clear out,
  6. Morecombe poor, we were worse. They looked more dangerous in attack and eventually proved it. Too many aimless balls forward.
  7. I’m struggling to understand this apparent blind optimism that a manager who is not yet confirmed will transform the club’s fortune despite having no pedigree as a coach, let alone as a manager. If PS takes the job I wish only the best for him and the club as a fan, I’m just more cautious. And as for the apparent cost of the appointment, if true it’s ludicrous ! If there’s that amount of money available then it could be spent on better players who could produce results on the pitch.
  8. Agree on Branger, works hard but has absolutely zero end product. Vera won very little and is way too slow, the only way to get anything from him will be to fire crosses to the penalty spot, cos that’s about as far as his legs carry him. O’Grady a slightly better version of Vera. Overall though, I thought we played pretty well despite the result and probably created more.
  9. Penalty simply because Baxter is not fit enough - clearly outpaced and no chance with the attempted tackle. Ruined promising momentum as we were getting back into the game. Baxter nowhere near the player he was.
  10. Wild himself sees he is not ready yet to be a manager full time. He’s a decent bloke so let him have a long connection with his club through the academy for now. We know how long the average manager stays in post and a bad run would see him gone. For now let him enjoy the ride.
  11. What did we expect - it’s the pantomime season. This only makes sense if someone is already lined up and wants his own coaching staff.
  12. Apparently we played 18 first halves and 17 second halves. Ah ah - that’s a team that definitely goes missing
  13. He’s the moron putting his money into the club when no one else would. If so many fans could do better then buy the club and save his money and finance a better squad. Sorry, but we get the squad and manager that the owner can afford.
  14. Miller so much better than COG in every way ~ why doesn't Bunn see that? But yet again it's difficult to see what they do on the training pitch other than lump balls forward. No real movement and barely any midfield players getting in the box.
  15. This is L2 - none of the teams are entertaining but some are winning more of the games they play. If you want entertainment , go watch City. Go back to threads about recruitment in the summer - signing strikers with no recent history of goalscoring, midfield players with no experience of the league they would play in. I don’t think there is a manager out there that could turn the squad into a top 7 team. Plus a few players seem to be made of glass.
  16. I just wish we weren't a continual soap opera. Not a month goes by without some form of published negativity coming to the fore.
  17. Ifollow coverage is Sam commentating and two others rambling on!
  18. Sorry, but this is a terrible game of football. Both sides just lump it forward without much thought followed by a short period of head tennis. If we have some creativity in the side then it's bloody hard to spot. The only consolation is they were gash with 11 so should be worse with 10. Not that we can open up a side set up to defend. Hoping for a good win; fearful of a 0-0.
  19. Seen more passing football from a Sunday league team! Two immobile lumps up front can't win the ball, can't hold it up and despite having the pace of a cruise liner contrive to be offside when the ball is payed over the defence. Lang is NOT a wide midfield player and shouldn't be asked to do that job. Yet to see Latics make three consecutive passes. Gardner needs to realise we are playing in white. If we get anything from this it will only prove football is a funny old game.
  20. Training with the youth, no matches under his belt, even if he was reinstated to the squad he wouldn’t be appearing on the pitch any time soon.
  21. We look at home in L2 ; lots of effort with little skill. 90 minutes and apart from the shot that hit the post both keepers could have been on deck chairs reading newspapers.
  22. Another centre back in even as back up wouldn’t go amiss, injuries and suspensions over the season might find us a bit light.
  23. It’s hard to feel positive about two strikers with a combined total of 11 goals in 167 appearances since 2014. At least Benteke is young enough to improve.
  24. Smacks of desperation ahead of 1st league game.
  25. We may already have a good striker on the books, but he’s loaned out. Can’t see why new manager wouldn’t want him to be integrated with his parent club teammates. Instead we are looking at strikers with woeful scoring records who are unlikely to improve.
