Do we have anybody that can play at RB instead of Sutton? Where's shelts at?

He's not going to sprint around all game, he was poor today no question. But he's still the best player in this squad by a mile and if the others have to make up for that then they should....

It's where you impact the play, if you come from an offside position but impact the play in your own half that's where the free kick should be.

I did say fondop was due a red card the other week. For what it's worth I don't think it was one.

Someone to hoof it at I guess

It took us going 3 down before we actually tried to string a few passes together. Constantly hoofing it to Norwood and Garner is a ridiculous thing to do, especially when the midfield aren't getting forward to support them. It's too easy for the opposition and it puts you on the back foot early on. With the exception of Sheron, all the midfield are at their best with the ball at their feet, so why ping it forward bypassing them all game. That's the gameplan, that's what they've been told to do, and it's bewildering because we're not set up to do it at all. That's why we've been battered here first half. Norwood & Garner are deep in the oppo half scrapping for knock-downs and the midfield is completely stretched either trying without success to get up to the forwards or trying to cover half the pitch. It's so easy to play through, beat one man (and we're not exactly robust in a challenge) and you're running at the defenders.

The comeback is on, I'd be surprised if we're not ahead by half time.

0-0 was probably a fair result really, we had a couple of decent chances early in the first half and they had a few first half and 1 on the counter 2nd. Other than that it was just a bit of a scrappy contest, no real fluency from either side. I thought the set up was actually ok from us it's just we didn't have the personnel to make it work. Mcgahey & Sheron do a lot of work in the middle and it makes us more solid defensively, Conlon is better on the ball but what there isn't is someone who can carry the ball forward and drive us up the pitch. Thats why we often just resorted to hoofing it over the top hoping that Norwood & Garner create something for themselves, which every now and again will work, but isn't a reliable way of creating chances (and is also horrible to watch). Bromley are proof that you can have success playing garbage football in this division but my concern is that this style we have at the minute (I know occasionally we play some decent stuff but it's mainly rank bad, especially at home) won't work if/when we go up. The momentum of a promotion shouldn't be wasted on a style of football that we don't want to carry on with as we attempt to progress up the pyramid. Oh and can someone remind the ball boys what their job is. Won't move unless the ball is right next to them, lazy shits

Clearly you can have a lot of success playing garbage football, which is what we're after...

Played well in spells there but we've not been able to sustain any real pressure. I'd be tempted to get rid of one of the midfield 3 and bring Dallas on. Move Norwood into a deeper CF role and try to get him involved more, he's our best player on the ball by miles and it seems a waste to have him chasing long balls most of the game.

It's not an 11 that's filled me with confidence.

Sheron should go, we don't need somebody to run about sometimes making tackles who offers nothing on the ball and doesn't know how to find space to receive the ball. So easy for the opposition, stick a man on conlon and press the cb's, we panic and end up hoofing it. They've barely had to get out of 2nd gear....

If anything the midfield 2 haven't been deep enough, nobody for the CBS to give the ball to so just end up punting it to infinity.

Really need to learn how to keep hold of the ball for 2 minutes....

It's not great, we look devoid of any attacking ideas. It's just so disconnected, looks like they've never played together before. All boreham wood are doing is putting the press on and we just wilt under the pressure of a 1 man press. Pass and move and we'll beat this lot, simple as that. Probably going to watch another half of us hoofing the ball somewhere not near fondop though ...

I don't think he's good enough to start, and the 5 subs limits who you can stick on the bench. You're going to want players that can impact a game offensively on there. You can always drop to a back 4 if there's an injury. Though it must be said I'd rather have a defender than Norman on the bench.
