  1. I'd rate Nepo as 1 of 3 we have who are above average for this league. We can't risk them all at once
  2. I feel a fool now for saying that we planned to start with Sefil and Stott until panic set in and Wheater suddenly cropped up.
  3. When I was out there we were considered odd in that there were proper HR procedures for "local," (which actually meant Syrian, Palestinian, Egyptian) staff and sacked people were paid up. You literally could just tell someone to get the fuck out of the building and never come back, and for any reason.
  4. Maybe, my take on it is that he just isn't cut out for working within the UK working culture and laws. The boss isn't all-powerful here, I don't think that's how he sees things
  5. Shez was godlike, I actively disliked Wellens, was deeply unenthusiastic about Scholes and would be delighted if Wildy stole my pint. None of them could work with Lemmy, whatever the rights and wrongs of different details. It's clearly also like that in the back office as well, denying it is just to ignore what's stareing you in the face.
  6. When Stott goes on loan, how does he get over that wet thing?
  7. He also says welcome to the pleasure dome, but you can't sit in that part of it
  8. I read this in the voice of Mr Pink when Mr White and Mr Blonde are arguing
  9. Moomins look like fat dogs in the dark. Still haven't got a lead on young Chaddy.
  10. Sshhh, that will dilute our dog-shitting-on-the-Clayton privileges
  11. I'm going to be first to decide that him and Eagles will have a, "who's the Daddy?" feud which will tear the dressing room in half.
  12. More money from above would change nothing except the wages for the lower league players
  13. I was given to understand it was against the club, which as Kow says would be odd as it's worthless. I don't think that the arrangement with the undercover football agents and friends of Stephen Vaughan was ever straightforward though.
  14. True. Also sort of makes me wonder if we've solved the question of who finds the #Englishlads
  15. IIRC the charges were about the last things holding up the finalisation of the sale
  16. Being picky but the Head Coach is generally expected to follow the broad tactical approach in many variations of the DoF model. Southampton a good example where the are always looking for replacements and development players who will fit with how they play. This includes the head coach though, which explains why Colin never pitched up there
  17. I wouldn't fancy Vera to score in the Georgian if his identical twin brother had seen him in a casino and bought him a a year's all inclusive pass.
  18. I'm no gambler but I don't know if I'd take 66/1 just on the first bit
  19. Somewhat ironically, the last place that Barry was trusted to be in charge of a tricky situation
  20. That's nothing, I was talking to the mate and next door neighbour of the non cunty Mark Hughes today.
  21. We can subtly get around that by using made up words. Baz will never think of that.
  22. True that Placide was better than what we had, but we could have driven Ripley here in a platinum coated unicorn chariot and it would still have been cheaper
  23. We would have been in a Bury type situation or worse if Corney had stayed. Impossible to say how it would have ended up without Lemmy turning up but we're still here.
  24. I've not seen any of them play, but your comment which I replied to suggested that the lads we've signed justify acting quickly, I hope you're right
