    You okay Monty ? Just off the top of my head, Nuttall, Kurt, Reid, Shelton and Ward are 5 players under contract which Mellon will certainly not play or give a chance to next season. Why is it such ridiculous statement to say shift them on ? Never mentioned pay offs. Sell them or loan them out for all I care, don’t care how it gets done. I think we can all agree we need rid of players. Or I am misunderstanding your post.

    Yep he’s been absolutely crap when playing for us. Unsworth continuing to bring him on as a sub in central midfield when Harry Vaughan was an option remains the most puzzling decision by a manager. Couto could be a cheap back up, nothing more from what I have seen.

    Piss take that the club expects that. I simply can’t get to the club to give them my ticket. They need to look at that. I’ve got no intention of claiming a refund and then going to the ground on a Thursday night to watch an Oldham team that has given up.

    Can I charge them interest ? Just process the refund and be done with it. The whole thing has been an utter fuck up.

    Nope. But a mate of mine has been advised he needs to take his physical ticket back to the ticket office in order for the refund to be processed. Which is clearly idiotic, given the shambles. I will wait for my reply. I’m certainly not driving a two hour round trip for the privilege of my money back.

    Mellon would look pretty silly offering anyone an extension in my opinion. He’s just said in his interview that the board need to support him getting players out the door. To then offer certain players a deal would be the complete opposite of what he’s requested. Everyone out of contract should be released, no extensions required.

    If McGahey gets another contract…. Green is the only one I’d keep, as we need width. But I’ve gone release all so we can sign new players.

    Well he can’t get in a match day squad that contains a 28 year old centre back and a central midfielder who can’t pass a ball. So he’s currently about 6th choice in a midfield that’s weak as piss.

    Release them all. If Mellon any his own players, he also needs to make room. Get rid of about 5 under contract and that’s enough to bring in the 4/5 quality players we need.

    I get what you are saying and course there are bigger problems, that goes without saying. But to me, as sad as it may seem, OAFC is one of the biggest things in my life and is my greatest passion. So them feeling they could and maybe should have done better, doesn't cut it for me. They should be going out to with every single game, giving their all every single second.
