  1. Wish the young lad all the best with his medical condition and good on Fane.
  2. Why are you quoting yourself and referring to yourself as second bestie?
  3. Don't know if it has been fully mentioned but the defence was outstanding, it looks so much more balanced with a natural left back. Gardener and Fane broke up so many attacking moves and although we all got excited by Doyle's return Gardener was my MOTM. Gardeners return to form has coincided with Oldhams return to form.
  4. Brings a tear to the eye that summary - oh the way we just dismissed Liverpool to make it mathematically possible, great memories.
  5. Thought the second half, especially after the subs came on was a very high-quality game. The standard of passing and general skills was championship level.
  6. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/43273070 Maybe something we could have tried?
  7. Bury are relegated IMO if they lose to us, it should be an awesome game atmosphere wise.
  8. McEleney will be relieved. All the hassle of being signed at Christmas but not being registered to play then getting injured and having to wait for March to make his debut
  9. Have we agreed on McEleney for the goal - I need to see a replay
  10. Good call JoeP, that was a massive effort to get the game on and also adds to our win by preventing a fixture pile up. Rochdale have only played 30 games so far poor buggers.
  11. It took a deflection but I thought it was McEleney - but not 100%
  12. Credit card machine has severe frost damage. The staff have been spilling hot coffee on it all morning to no avail. Seemingly the bank account it was connected to has also been frozen!
  13. We need Roger Palmer's input to answer this .... Allegedly
  14. And in a very connected addition, former goalkeeper David Miskelly has agreed to return to Portadown as Tipton's assistant manager. Seemingly Miskelly played over 400 games for Portadown after leaving us.
  15. His sporran or merkin looks pleased - not quite an Inanimate object
  16. Finally a use for the storage facility under the Chaddy road stand
  17. Because the time it takes to make this post someone could have posted an update on the official site - and continued to update it every 20 mins? It's not really that hard, I can't see why people get upset and make a post complaining about someone complaining about someone not arsed making a post? Maybe the irony is lost on them? Preventing the frost is one thing and worthy of discussion. Being a business and not giving a shit about your customers by making a simple update to a website is amateurish at best and arguably contemptable. Please don't confuse the two.
  18. Hopefully this will be the game that gets them relegated. Nothing against them but it's all about 3 points for us.
  19. If the warm water had really reached the roots the ground would have defrosted - which it didn't. Though I am sure the above ground grass would have been damaged by the hot water the roots should be ok long term assuming the weeks of frost had not first affected them.
  20. Indeed, but they could have been made aware and then check the constantly updated website .... which was not updated even though Oldham was aware of the problems. I, like you, understand the difficulty and the cost of being able to prevent the problem but the lack of communication was amateurish at best and arguably contemptable.
  21. The one thing the club could have done for little to no money was inform people a lot earlier, maybe even a day before, that the pitch was frozen and would possibly need an inspection. From what I am led to believe the pitch has been frozen in that area of shade for 3 days.
  22. Did no one think of phoning me to even warn me this could possibly happen? I went to bed early but then had to get up and put the air con on because it was too bloody hot to sleep, took ages to get back to sleep, then got my alarm to wake me to find out the games called off just because of 3 days of frost? FMD has no one in Oldham thought of the global consequences of this disaster! It's half two in the morning and I'm wide awake and grumpy. Bah! frost at ice station zebra causes international outrage - strewth I'm grumpy, effin grumpy - going to make a rum and coke and go for a swim in my pool - it's still well over 20 deg in the middle of the night down here so may as well enjoy the heat now I am awake for no bloody good reason ...... grumble grumble grrrrrrr
