    In the matches I've seen this season it's the opposition who've been hanging on in the last quarter of an hour not us, so it looks to me as if our squad are very fit. The fact that one player is plagued by a couple of niggles is symptomatic of his fitness, not the whole team's. Perhaps he needs special treatment to enable him to play regularly.

    I was looking forward to seeing if he could fulfill his potential on his return but it depends whether he's up for working with, and buying into the new regime and it's ethos. Whatever happens wish him the best as he seems to have had a pretty rough time with one thing and another.

    We do seem a lot more durable this season which will stand us in good stead should it continue. Just hope we can maintain this for the whole season, which will be difficult, possibly aided by a couple of loan signings in the new year to freshen the squad up.

    My reply was in response that Byrne would prove to be the mainstay of the Kilmarnock team. Think that may be part of his problem, he needs to be the mainstay not a team member. For all his talent his record doesn't suggest he will be the mainstay of any team.

    If you don't think Byrne's got problems a quick glance at his record would enlighten you ! And what's a bulb ? Is that twitter speak ?

    Boyd has been poor the times I've seen him recently and I think Byrne's success at his clubs is defined after 6 months or so. As far as I'm concerned the jury is out on him but I'd like to see him do well to maximise his undoubted talent.

    Yes was citing Celtic game, so even more strange he wasn't used if he'd appeared previously.

    If he's been training at all he should have been fit enough for a cameo appearance as sub in a home match they were drawing until injury time. I really do hope Byrne can exorcise his demons and be a useful team member in his new club, but I'm nowhere near as confident as you.

    Think it's more of a fitness issue with Jose rather than ability..

    They wouldn't be subs if they were good enough.

    If that's the case we might as well leave all our forwards on the half way line when defending set pieces. You can't get excused from doing a job just because you're not got perfect qualifications. He's a forward, so don't defend, just get to the ball first and kick it upfield ! Admittedly with his showing on this occasion he would be better nearer the halfway line than our penalty box.

    As I've said before if people's ages were shown perhaps we could make allowances, or not as the case may be, when questionable comments are made.

    Heard that one or two senior players weren't too happy with the challenge and let Byrne know it, but still doesn't prove he meant it.

    The man tasked with marking the goalscorer was the one who unnecessarily gave away the corner.

    Some people have the bottle to take a penalty, some don't. I had 100% record....1/1. Still don't know why I was taken off them. Personally unless you're really good at them ( a la Redfearn or Liddell ) I'd prefer someone running up, knee over the ball and blast it as hard as you can straight at the goalie, hoping you miss him. It's when you overthink things that you miss.

    True football fan, through thick and thin he just kept supporting his club to the end. Puts some of the crap penned on here in perspective.

    Not sure I understand what you're getting at unless it's the one Branger scored thanks to a massive deflection ?

    Cross made the goal in my opinion but Baxter's run into the box is something we don't always do and created a relatively simple chance. Our midfielders are poor at getting in the box especially when our main forwards are out on the wings and have to pass backwards instead of crossing. Other teams seem to flood the box with players and cause the opposition problems. Plus my main bugbear which we have somewhat rectified this season....." Have a bloody shot !"
