  1. I would suggest crowd fund some new blue seats. History would suggest we may only get a couple of rows done.
  2. Anyone know how much the club makes of each shirt sold?
  3. Pitch looks great but pease paint that scruffy old board on the RRE roof.
  4. I am all for options to attract the next generation of supporter. I would suggest a better option may be to allow season ticket holders to bring an under 16 to some midweek or selected Saturday games where attendances are low. It rewards the loyalty of ST holders and would help boost crowds when historically attendances are lower.
  5. The Brassbank politics will never be evident to the average fan and is something for the new owners to address. Boycotting stands will help no one, be better if we all cancelled our sky subscriptions which is starving clubs at our level. The way to create atmosphere is for as many fans as possible to attend games and support the team from all sides of BP. Incentives to attract younger fans is the way forward and a good season in league 2 will help. Maybe this season, if we can get our act together under FB, it will be the start of another positive period and attract a new generation of supporter to BP.
  6. AL has come into the club, invested significant funds and, despite this, has seen it relegated. During his six months he has seen the destabilising influences of the media stories, clearly based upon leaked information from inside the club, and has probably decided that a clear out is the only way forward. I am sure there are decent staff who will be casualties of the cull but they are all implicit in the decline. AL is a business man who will want people around him who buy into his ideas and who he can trust to run the club. It is how most businesses operate and i suppose football is no different. It's a transitional period and we all will have to see what transpires.
  7. A season long loan at BP is not the worst thing for a young player's development. Better than a season, at best, in the City development squad. Fingers crossed.
  8. There is no one to take over if they get rid of RW. It's now a simple 2 game season for 4 teams. We have to just get behind the team and hope other results go our way. The inquest can come after.
  9. Second best for 90 minutes but its another point and keeps us just above the line and in touch with the pack above. We take it and move on to Wimbledon.
  10. A new pitch and a lick of paint on the chaddy roof and over the old scoreboard next please.
  11. Feed the Duck for 60 minutes or till he tires then replace him with one from Holloway, Benteke, Obadeyi, Duffus and Doyle when fit. Nice problem for RW to have really.
  12. Where do you think the funding has come from when the income generated is less than the expenditure every week? SC has made many mistakes but I feel he has done his best for OAFC. He has certainly invested more than any other fan of the club, be that me, you or any of the other 3.5 thousand who attend most weeks. He should stay on in my opinion and help Abdullah guide OAFC to better times.
  13. My view too. I do not understand all the animosity to someone who kept ths club solvent. I believe he did his best, invested as best he could and kept the club in this division after the other amigos gave up. He knows this club better than anyone, will have learnt from his mistakes and maybe with Abdullah on board can together grow the club in a sustainable way. We need to stay up this year and then aim to be top half next year and keep making steps in the right direction. Holding our own in the Championship in the next five years and further improvements to the ground would be success for me and I think it would be good if SC can play some part in this latest chapter.
  14. I would be happy to volunteer my time to help give one or more walls a pick of paint maybe a blue feature wall. Happy to throw in a few quid towards a crowd funded TV screen. I am sure a few fans would volunteer an hour or too to get rid of the grey walls.
  15. Blackburn have signed a new keeper Jason Leutwiler from Shrewsbury today for an undisclosed fee.
  16. Can you get them to jet wash the side panels in the RRE too. They are green with mould!
  17. It's just good to have options in most positions to enable us to have this healthy debate. A long way from the last pretty season when we struggled to put 11 players on the pitch. It is looking good so far.
  18. I suggested to the club that they could convert a room into a cinema. The tie in that the club now has with the "odeon" should make it easy to do. I could drop the wife and her mate off to watch fifty shades of whatever colour whilst I go in the supporters bar next door..... when it's built of course. Works for me!
  19. Away kit has black shorts with ? trim. Looks nice
  20. I contributed 125 quid to the scoreboard but rather it went on a striker at this point in time.
  21. Could not agree more. The club is my church, my religion. Its tough at the moment and my 200 mile round trip from Grimsby is not an easy one. However, i will still be getting 3 season tickets as my contribution to keep this club solvent. Anyway, its a good reason to get over and see the family and friends back "home". If we give up now, we have no club to support and then i would be even more miserable. The club needs us all more than ever.
  22. Totally agree. Credit where credit us due to SC for this interview. He clearly has the club at heart and strives on valiantly against all odds. Success is achieved through great effort but is not without error and shortcomings along the way. SC has today been open and honest and admitted he has made mistakes and I respect that. The critics on here, who i suspect have never experienced success nor defeat in any walk of life, now have the opportunity to meet SC and offer him their advice on how the club can be run better. I shall look forward to the day.
