Fair enough, was having a thought while wishing 4 o'clock on whilst undercoating some skirting, id have thought Lacovitti is more suited to a cb role and can see Hamer turning to a cb in the future and with Wheater in the middle looks a decent back 3, have we signed another lb this summer or is Lacovitti our likely starter? apologise if already been mentioned I don't have a clue who any of these incoming are barring Wheater over the last 2 days

Personally thought we were piss poor today but got the job done in that 5 minute spell, we didn't seem to get much of the ball for 30 mins or so but found ourselves 2 up. Defence looks solid enough with 2 experienced heads and 2 younger lads, midfield looks a bit pish in my eyes but we didnt play much football all game to be honest, keeper made 2/3 very good stops especially the 1 on 1 with 5 or so minutes to go, this league looks horrendous but still think we have a lot of work to do to be top 7 in my eyes but 7 points from 3 games cant be grumbled at, but still don't think we look a unit as a side at all at the moment but grinding results out so I guess we'll take it

Id take 4-6 loses over the drab 0-1 defeats of last season.....we are the new posh......shots=goals=entertainment in my eyes....iv never stayed till 90+ so often in a season

Just got in again and not read previous 3 pages as pissed up (regular occurance i know) ill read them tomorow. From what i have seen since Wellens took over that is the worst we have played, pretty decent first half but in the 2nd half they went a form of 3 up top and we struggled massively with it and buy taking Mensig? (not sure who's who at the moment tbh) off and going a narrow diamond 4-1-2-1-2 i thought we would get murdered out wide, but fair play to the boys we ground out again and cant beat a last minute winner again against local rivals.......one thing that needs addressing in my eyes is the lack of width on the right side, he may not be in the best of form but you have to feel a bit for Dummigan he has abseloutely no outlet to pass forward to or cover him on the overlap....he's pissing against the wind most times. Thought for old Jonny dick fingers before he gets banned for 10 games for having found to have an illegal adhesive put on his gloves......how refreshing in this day and age to see a keeper catch the fucking round thing made of leather and his distribution is phenomenal.......Doyle's chance to conversion rate is bonkers and Davies stay on your feet because when you do your an abseloute hold up nuisance....stop falling over and being a mardy bastard like you were 80% of the second half when we needed you to hold the thing up.......onwards and upwards.....come on you blue bastards

This lad is so far out of this league it is unreal, obviously been his attitude that has held him back and this loan spell may have re-acted his brain to what he needs to do, with a takeover we may have a slither of a chance of signing him but this lad is 7 figure territory. I havnt enjoyed watching a player for the tics as much tbh in my 27 years on this earth watching this shower, the guy is so in control of a game and he doesnt duck on his defensive duties as i thought he might...id go as far as saying id give my left bollock if we had a chance of signing him

completely agree that if Wigan dont win this League by 10+ points they have done something seriously wrong.....i wrote in the Wigan game thread that Powell is the best player in this league by a country mile bt Byrne isnt that far behind and if they can let him leave on loan that is one hell of a luxury/squad they have got

When i think back to that squad Ritchie had when he became manager, he worked abseloute miracles because they were all abseloute toss when you delve into it......Miskelly, Hotte, Swan, Rickers, Tipton etc.....id be worried if that was our reserve team these days

Tbh i loved Wellens as a techical footballer when he was here but also had the idea that he was a bit of a c##t with the younger players at the time i.e Taylor, Eardley really getting at them when they made a mistake, but there is no doubting he has something that has galvanised these lot and talks very well in his pressers......stop pissing around and give the lad a whirl he couldnt have done anymore to prove himself.......could be an interesting ride ahead ladies and gents and i am as enthusiastic as i have been for a long while when i head to BP

Cant be arsed reading the comments at the moment as just got in celebrating one hell of a win. They were toss but we played it to perfection today and said to numerous mates of mine that i could sence a last minute winner, even after Mensig did his best Jermaine Johnson impression 5 minutes before......skin everyone then hit the top of the roof. Clarke was class....back to his last season self, Gardner gets through some work and is intelligent in possession, Byrne is a cut above reminds me of a League 1 Eden Hazard....his low centre of gravity turns people before they know what day of the week it is.......overall a very happy camper.....great atmosphere a bit of bite with the rival fans and 3 points to the tics.......and if Wellens isnt made permanent manager by 9am Monday im tempted to knock on the door/set fire to the club because the lad certainly knows what he's doing.....pissed up rant over.....come on you blue bastards
