  1. Dan Gardner has played two 'Captain Games' and been our best player by some way. Absolutely nothing wrong with him running towards the fans (I was there) and shouting at them to stop booing, whilst celebrating his second goal in two games Its called 'character' and to be honest we need a few more players showing some of it on the pitch !!
  2. Conveniently forgetting, Joe managed us to the 2nd Division Championship, a League Cup Final and 2 FA Cup Semi-Finals All whilst playing the most exciting football in the Clubs history dec666 you're an absolute Doughnut !!
  3. Over £11m but virtually impossible to qualify what that is made up from by what is filed Money definitely spent buying the majority 97% shareholding (wouldn't have thought £5-£6m ) but lets hope its money well spent
  4. Yeah you're right ! Not paid the Players and Staff again yet, is pretty boring
  5. Dave-Og You may well be right looking at this extract from the Fans Meeting with Simon Corney in Jan 2017 I do suspect it is likely to have increased from the £1.3m quoted: · When asked where the money was coming from to fund the expenditure on players etc. SC said he was funding it. The club accountant said on the phone (via loudspeaker) that last season SC put circa £1.3m into the club. To date this season, he has put £900k in and expects by the end of the season to have put in a further £400K. The club has an ongoing gap between income and expenditure averaging circa £1.3m per year.
  6. Singe Bury FC Accounts for the year end 31st May 2017 Agree that Bury Creditors (Debt) have risen from £6,837,747 in 2017 from £4,334,418 in 2016, an increase of £2,503,329 Bury FC Operating Loss is £2,665,662 for 2017 up from £2,358,160 in 2016 What's your source for Latics debt being c£7m as we don't appear to have filed our Accounts for some time ? Assuming Latics run at a similar annual Operating loss of lets say c£3m (this £figure has previously been muted by our previous Chairman), what has Mr Lemsagam spent his c£5m-£6m on ? Genuinely interested
  7. Cant see Jack Byrne staying with us but no way is he at a Championship standard yet but could do a decent job in League One if he gets the benefit of playing time with an experienced playmaker (Jack Grealish has improved massively having the likes of John Terry in the dressing room and a very decent manager in Steve Bruce) Any news on Davies and Holloway moving out yet ?
  8. Its a cleverly worded statement in my view, declaring his intentions to rebuild our Club without committing too early to any individuals or particular part of our current operating structure
  9. Just what I was hoping for tbh No false or unrealistic promises A positive statement of intent, particularly the comment "I now have the opportunity in the close season to take a thorough look at every aspect of the Club to see what we can improve"
  10. cmr You've a better sense of humour than me at the moment Fair play
  11. I'm no Genius but this fella was: Albert Einstein is broadly credited with exclaiming “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results The only reason that makes any sense why we have kept on RW is that we simply cannot afford to pay up his contract Unprofessional that we took on a rookie manager on a contract when our results were dire without a relegation clause included Worrying that our new owner is unable/unwilling to pay off his contract for clearly failing Relegation to the bottom league in English Football for the first time in 40 years should be looked upon as an opportunity for a totally fresh start with the new broom (Mr Lemsagam) clearing the decks I fear he could well be simply 'moving the deckchairs on the Titanic' just hoping for a change in our luck
  12. And that's as good as it gets Monty Burns !! There's not one decent fixture for us next season
  13. 'Hands on' you are having a laugh aren't you
  14. 'Owled' with laughter reading this Clearly a Football Genius
  15. Only 200 left as at 12.30 today which go on open sale tomorrow The Club have asked Northampton for more but have heard nothing back as yet
  16. SO . . . . . . . Anyone got any idea of how many tickets are left for us non season ticket holders tomorrow ?
  17. this lot are dragging our Club into the bottom tier of English Football for the first time since 1970-1971 we're all but down if you look at both AFC Wimbledon and Walsall have a game in hand on us, and we've played both in recent weeks but could only scrape a point in each game AND Rochdale have a better goal difference than us which is worth a point. these days the bottom two in League 2 drop into Non League Football
  18. Cant help thinking that Mr. Lemsagam is keeping a low profile, has got his fingers crossed that we simply survive the drop, so he can bring in his Manager of choice during the summer Simple as . . . . .
  19. I know Fans sometimes seem to be watching a different game than others but . . . . . . .
  20. Thought the young lads in defence marshalled by Gerrard were magnificent with Johny keeping a clean sheet in a very high pressure and critical game Last night was a 'must not lose game' and I would suggest the toughest in our run in
  21. Couldn't have put it any better 10 goals in his 71 games since he left us Probably a good few of those games coming off the bench which further evidences his expected contribution
  22. You've nailed this one to be fair but the Kid is only 21 and thankfully 'keen as f*&k' and hungry. You can train talent but not install 'attitude and desire to win' If nurtured, JackB could develop into a very good player
