  1. What does the budget comprise of? I thought it was a five year plan or something , there must be funds available
  2. I’d struggle too, but he’s got to remember those fans have been sat there enduring that crap a lot longer than he has, and they’re paying for the privilege
  3. Great post , saved me doing the research into other former league clubs fortunes but we definitely aren’t unique being in this position at the moment.
  4. The contracts players are on, particularly the “ better “ players seem to be literally a guarantee of decent money regardless of what happens or how they perform. They do something totally stupid or fail to perform and they still have their contracts paid off?? It’s bizarre .
  5. I think he’s right about the group as a whole, many of them have won stuff before but they aren’t winners now . But 7 months in charge with literally no change in the product on the field has to be at his feet aswell . And of course stupid stuff gets shouted from the stands but come on, one win in 14!!! Get a grip and give us something to cheer about !! It’s your job !!!
  6. For the resources we have to hand, it’s bloody poor where we are. We can only hope things do fall into place somehow. Mellons previous tells me we should stick with him but 1 win 14 is it? That’s appalling .
  7. Exactly what I’ve always said, always rated him over Nuttall, stronger, better attitude . definitely stays next season but we do need a big forward in addition in my opinion.
  8. He’s not the messiah but I do wonder if we could have brought him on over the last few games what might have happened .
  9. Everything is a gamble to some degree and nothing is ever guaranteed, particularly in this game, but bloody hell we’ve had some shite luck as a club. Unsworth was a gamble which didn’t pay off along with his signings. Lesson learned eventually and the board went for tried and tested , much lesser gamble this time but still hasn’t worked, brought some of his own players in who haven’t done much to change things. The mentality of the squad as a whole is the main problem for me closely followed by their ability. I thought Mellon would sort that, but he hasn’t . I don’t know what the answer is but I suppose we’ve finished our 2nd season in NL and other decent size clubs have languished here much longer than that. It’s not really a positive but we have to go again and hope that things fall into place and finally Lady Luck may pay us a long overdue visit .
  10. We really can’t , this squad is powderpuff , it somehow has to be strengthened
  11. Yep, literally no excuses this time, everyone else has done their bit, fans owners etc, you’ll always get the clowns in the stand -deal with it within reason. Give us something to get behind.
  12. You could be right although it’s a bit of a chicken and egg thing that for me.ive stood and sat with some idiots over the years in the stands but at some point the players/club have to deliver too.
  13. Don’t like players being targeted for stick but good grief some have earned an element of it this season. They need reminding this lot of what they are there for and who they are playing for and the fact we the fans have been monumentally let down by them at the crucial moment this season. I’ve never seen such a weak mentality collectively when you compare them to other teams we’ve had and that’s the biggest problem for me. It’s why I’m not at all surprised about the position we are currently in and missing the playoffs.
  14. Keep Fondop and Green for me. Although we are crying out for a big physical centre forward with the guile to go with it. Love big Mike but we just need someone with that bit of edge.
  15. To see what a close knit half decent side can do look at Southend, points deduction with a badly depleted squad, foot of the playoffs now with a goal difference of 26.
  16. The problem is the players for me, the “good” players are massively underperforming and the others just aren’t good enough. The mindset is pathetic for me, it’s weak and embarrassing. The drive to win and keep winning just isn’t in this lots remit.
  17. I stood and sat in the chaddy end for many years, but for me the RRE is the dominant stand now and has to be for the home supporters, unless that is they decide to rebuild the chaddy end .
  18. Conlon was excellent against Barnet at home, then that was that really
