  1. Ive backed norwood top scorer at 7/1 the day he signed
  2. I think he means the non existant right back. I.e play with 10 rather than play fage. Probably accurate
  3. Is there tho? At this moment in time i dont see how southend start the season No proof you can fulfill it in its entirity, no squad to field. I hope im wrong but i dont see how the NL let you continue
  4. Tbf that only punishes the fans. Even if he goes today, the club is in a mess and thats punishment enough. From being a year ahead of us this time last year, their dquad build is probably now a year behind us and then some. Dont know the legalities of it but the league really needs to enforce some sort of power of attorney mechanism where they can force an owner to sell before it gets to this stage
  5. Cant take anything from this. Other than individuals fitness levels. Neither line up either side of half time will be anywhere near our starting 11 for southend
  6. Any success york achieve this year is built on quicksand. Buying players for fun to build a development squad, but the new owners, the uggla family have history with yeovil and they come with a stark warning from yeovil fans. Rumours of uggla bringing in his own players and getting too involved with the team, plus spending beyond their income streams, id be a little nervous if i was a york fan
  7. You dont give too much thought to people in and around the club like this who dont often do the media stuff, instead, sticking in the back ground doing the nitty gritty, but things like his appearance on the podcast make you realise just how invaluable these people really are to the club
  8. Hope you enjoy, would appreciate the feedback

  10. So yeah, I've written a book, based in Oldham, about the Apocalypse. Currently available on Amazon, and free to download, I'd appreciate any downloads and reviews. A paperback copy is also available. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dawn-Apocalypse-Phill-Higgins-ebook/dp/B07TZVXLHL/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=dawn+of+the+Apocalypse&qid=1562506248&s=gateway&sr=8-3
  11. I remember this up roar when we appointed lee Johnson. - he didn't turn out so bad. I also remember this uproar when we appointed Darren Kelly. - he was a shocker. I also remember this uproar when we appointed Steve Robinson- he was kack. My point being, yes, it looks like a shite appointment, but things don't always go the way you think they will. They do most of the time, but not always. This could just as easily be a master stroke. It may also see us in the relegation mire for much of the season, but we won't know that until we have kicked a ball. Give the guy a chance, get behind him, and call for his head when we get rolled 3-0 on a Tuesday night at morcombe
  12. This topic has.been largely ignored with no response, but what a good read that was. It really is the true ideal of a Phoenix club, and a model latics should be looking at should the need ever arise. I don't think we are quite there yet, I'm still one of the few willing to wait and see how all this pans out, but the first thing I'd be doing is getting a flight over to Salamanca and seeing how it's done.
  13. Out of those players we had the chance of losing this summer, him and Clarke were my top priorities. Good news this
  14. So who are our top five Must retain then? Edmondson Nepo Mouche Clarke Missilou For me. I'd chuck Lang and Ivesen in there but that's unlikely given they are loan deals.
  15. Is it just me that thinks these look much better in the preview than the actual reveal? Don't like the black, don't like the stripe things and don't like the collar. Got the colour right that's about it
  16. Being completely honest I get us finishing 8th on 69 with Newport 7th on 71
  17. I'm refusing to get carried away, but the fact it's in our own hands now has been noted
  18. The more I see things like this the more I think we are better sticking with wild while AL is here. If he is willing to work under these conditions - and it seemingly does work - is there really any point in giving it to anybody else?
  19. You automatically get more away fans as the season draws to a close, when you have something to play for. I'd expect more to come than went to bury
  20. I don't get this. Endure years and years of shite only to not go when we have a flicker of hope. Imagine the buzz at quarter to five if we win and results fall our way
  21. Looking at fixtures elsewhere, a failure to win this will be seen as a massive opportunity missed. One game at a time though, on paper it's winnable as all games are, but so were the last 3.
  22. It's unlikely, but if we have any chance of the play offs i reckon we need 5 wins from 7 minimum. Each game is a cup final but if we did get them there is no question we would be the form team going into them. Today is pivotal and although I'm more confident with wild in charge 5 from 7 (would be 7 from 9 really) is too much too ask. One game at a time, 5 from 7 is easier than 7 from 9, just as 4 from 6 is easier still. While we keep winning it's still possible but I expect nothing. Lose or draw today and it's over
