Fair enough! I knew a Yank who "supported" Newcastle and he thought Mackems was a derogatory nickname for ManUre but I couldn't be bothered to correct him as it was so funny!

what year is that and was that Paul Edwards any good?

 

Year would be about 1976-76-77 , Paul Edwards was a good player , we bought him from Manure for £10K +/-

He was part part of our 3rd Div Champions team (squad)
