BP1960
TERRIBLE FORBES and WARNE out. lets hope so. LOL. I hope Latics watch out for centre backs Skiverton and Guyett at set plays, Skiverton in particular is not afraid to go in where it hurts. Fortunately they didn't get the chance at set plays. I assume that's what they are in the team for because otherwise they were a couple of absolute donkeys. No pace , no ability on the ball and both got turned by Alessandra.

Which one was it with the scruffy blonde hair, absolutley garbage, he looked nervous everytime the ball came near him. And as for that poor right back what a great header (sign him up Shez)

And as for that poor right back what a great header (sign him up Shez) It's the best own goal I've seen since big Kevin Francis forgot which way he was playing for Birmingham after half-time at BP. The ball came over from a Latics corner at the Chaddy End. He leapt in the air, pulled back his head and burried the ball into the net! Diego_Sideburns
Francis' own goal will remain the best ever. Should be a Guinness record!! Agreed. He was subbed just afterwards to the sound of three sides of BP chanting "One Kevin Francis!". Happy Days.

I remember him and Preece up front for Stockport, defenders dream. Edited February 16, 2008 by fleetwood Blue
tactically_naive
I remember Paddy Crerand regularly calling Francis a donkey on GMR, and I remember the Red 's words ringing in my ears when Francis planted that peach of a header in his own goal!! oafcprozac
have i made it over the years but i thought he got 2 own goals and then went off to a standing ovation from the latics fans nah Francis scored one own goal, Gary Poole got the other, Stu Barlow and Gunnar got the other two in a 4-0 rout.
