I think even Blake got killed in season 3 or 4. Vila was the only character to go the all 50-odd episodes... Season 4 was a mistake apparently when the BBC announcer wrongly stated that the show would return the next year, after the season three finale on the closing crawl. You can get season 1 on DVD for about 17 quid from Amazon. The fansites claim that season two is the best of the four - I wouldn't know - I can't remember. I was eight. But I think I'll be purchasing the first two seasons. Sapphire and Steel was on the tube about the same time, and really did scare the hell out of me, If anybody can remember their assignment to an old junkshop where people were being trapped in/released from photos by a man with no face.
