Don't have an Ipod but am trying to organise a regular sixties club night in Derby. The first five on the playlist have got to be:

1. I Can Only Give You Everything - Them

2. Five Years Ahead Of My Time - Third Bardo

3. Out of Our Tree - The Wailers

4. Hate - The Stoics

5. Nobody Spoil My Fun - The Seeds

We'll be playing more obvious Motown, Beatles, Stones, Kinks etc as well but those five are well worth hunting down.

My current most played list:

Well Thought Out Twinkles - Silversun Pickups

French Disko - Stereolab

British Mode - Goose

Skylon! - Gruff Rhys

Photocopier - Fujiya & Miyagi

The Gruff Rhys track is awesome, a hypnotic 15-minute tale of a flight, an actress, a terrorist, a bomb disposal expert and a dilemma.

Rummy, I've always thought the team should come out to 'in yer face' (808 state). What do you think?

Are You A Hypnotist - Flaming Lips

Bohemian Like You - Dandy Warhols

Saddest Vacant Lot In All The World - Grandaddy

Nah Mark. I saw them 4 times between 1999 and 2002. They were always great fun live. Bands with beards usually are!

Always found them a slight let down on record though. <_<

Edit: While I'm here, I'll do party shuffle in iToons and see what comes up...

Stadiums and Shrines II // Sunset Rubdown

Some Candy Talking // Richard Hawley

Trophy // Bat For Lashes

I Created Disco // Calvin Harris

The Sun Always Shines On TV // A-Ha

God yeah! I saw him perform it at the Picture House in Hebden Bridge last summer and it was absolute tremendous. That was before I got hold of Candylion. Brilliant.

that's one of them things that gets em crawling out of the woodwork Mark!

I bought The Sophtware Slump and was pretty disappointed - not really been played much in the last eleventeen years! I also bought the first Tortoise album at the same time - and also "I'd a shot you in the head if I thought we'd end up living in a dump like this" or something like that but who it was eludes me. Anyway - all very worthy but disappointing.

OK - my go...

1 - Black Napkins - Frank Zappa

2 - Close the door - Teddy Pendergrass

3 - Uncle Junior - Matt Schofield Trio

4 - Wiser Time - The Black Crowes

5 - The Deep - Waiwan

- edit for typos
