bigfatjoe1
Time to stop selling and start building...ideally. But if offers come in from the Championship then it would be wrong to stand in the way of any player.

bigfatjoe1
You can't stop players from wanting to play at a higher level, it's just wrong. They wouldn't exactly be happy to stay against their will. We're not running Dynamo Moscow in 1980. We should be ambitious, but you have to be fair and realsitic towards your players.
neiladamsheadband
Not sure we'd get much for Taylor tbh. Eardley is worth 500k+, he's a neat and tidy left back and is good going forward, his passing might not be great but he's very sold at the back. thtas we re we going wrong pukka we been playing him at right back

Isn't it the same in every business? You pay your better employees the going rate and what competitors would offer and hey presto, they stay put. No player is going to move for less or the same money unless they are seriously hacked off. You then lose your has beens once their contracts expire and bring in one quality player at the expense of losing one and a half or two bad ones. The only way we'll get out of this league is by having 20 quality players. Not 5 quality players and 25 average ones. But you have to speculate to accumulate. OK if it doesn't pay off you should have some very sellable assets and should at least get the same return on your investment. Thats worst case scenario. Flip side is we get promoted and their value increases. KOTK Edited March 24, 2008 by Kingofdikebab

A lot of players who pass through this club seem to want to play at a higher level. As last season's fiasco proved, though, most of them want to do it with another club rather than this one. KOTK Dead wrong-the way to do it, as so many are keen to stress, is on a shoestring budget with a team full of kids and short-term loanees that no other club seems to want. In front of 2000 of the most committed with all 'moaners' banned for life from BP.
