Giddings was absolute quality.... brilliant defensively, superb positioning, and if Shez is going to persist with the Taylor left wing thing, then Giddings is exactly the type of player you want behind him... he was also big enough and strong enough to cope with the league 1 long ball tactics... Exactly what you want from a full back at this level, solid, strong, and does the simple things right... and does not get pre-occupied with this tosh that full backs at our level need to play a 2-way game... if we could get him it would be amazing, sell eards... gidds on the left and Lomax on the right with money in our pocket - that'll do me... ... I'd go as far as saying giddings was the best full back we have seen at BP since Armstrong.... I'd take him over eardley and berts any day.. purely because he is stronger than them.... Would also have Wayne back too. Firstly, Giddings doesnt play in Sheffield so we are !!!! And as far as Eardley goes, his passing all season has been gash, £400k and your hand off please.
