William Andrews (born Kansas City, USA) played for Latics in 1908, anyone remember him ? :unsure:

More recenty Calvin Zola, and how could anyone forget the incomparable Ndiwa Lord-Kangana . :grin:

Here's a gem of a quote I found about him;

"Latics boss Iain Dowie told the club's official website: "He's 6ft 3in tall, strong and quick and he is very commanding in the air, which is so important."

:blush:

Hey! I mentioned Brucie!

Wasn't it Michel Vonk btw?

There's also Ole Bjorn Sundgot

Hasney Aljofree

Miguel Roque

Tomas Cwyka

Luigi Glombard

Lourenco

and some African(?) striker we had on loan from Brighton a couple of years ago (Can't remember his name).

I guess there are a few more if someone took the time to seek them out from the archives.

Remember my dad calling one player 'Slingyourhook' in the seventies - but I'm not sure who it was other than he wasn't British - which was a novelty then.

Oops! Just seen Crusoe's 'Michel' post, and Dave GTT's Molango- Yep! that's him!

Yes he's been mentioned, no one who saw him could ever forget him.

Whoops.

I never saw him and I can't forget him :wink:

What a shame, you missed the performance of a lifetime, when I'm depressed I think of that and it always brings a smile to my face.

Here's one from France;

Luigi Glombard

Kangna's debut will live long in my memory. No one knew who he was, he was just announced a minute or so before kick off.

The free kick that cleared the Chaddy End :lol:

Then at the end of the Sheffield Wednesday away game when he was kissing the badge :lol:

Well done Lord Ndiwa, you lived the dream I never will and provided many comical moments too.
