At almost 35, Shrews was the only club that can offer him a regular first-team football. 3. He wants to get into coaching, he is taking badges, and Shrews offered him help with that (he already has helped with the reserves at Blackpool). 4. While dropping two divisions is disappointing, he wants to keep playing as long as possible and Shrews package offered the best deal. 5. While he has many friends at Lashers, and is a popular figure at the club, Grayson was right to release him because of his age and doubt over his fitness.
