ThaiLatic
Apologies if this has been done before but what are everyone's five favourite Latics goals in the following categories? 1. Neil Redfearn's penalty v Sheff Wed Maurice Whittle's penalty v M*n U*d Ian Marshall's second v Ipswich Town Neil Pointon v M*n U*d at Wembley Bobby Moore's OG at BP 2. Andy Ritchie's late equaliser at The Dell Scott Vernon's winner v Th*ksin Town in the FA Cup Gary McDonald v Everton in the FA Cup Andy Ritchie's penalty v West Ham Darren Beckford v Bolton in the FA Cup quarter final
oafc2002
Probably my favourite Latics goal ever, was John Eyre against QPR. I think it was just after Dowie left and the season after Moore did what he did. That goal meant so much, the celebrations after were fantastic as well. OldhamSheridan
Probably forgotten quite a few, but I'll stick with ones that spring to mind. Ritchie v Arsenal to make it 1-0 in 3-1 cup win. Holden v Villa to make it 1-0 in Cup game. Ritchie v Barnsley with chip from the side line in 2-0 win (lots of this could be incorrect). MacDonald v Everton. Still can't believe that happened yet. Hazell v Leeds. My sides still hurt. Though that could be from Dony winning the final. Although Nicky Henry's winner in the semi final wins it all I suppose

LeylandLatic
1) McDonald v Everton 2) Eyresy v Stockport 3) Vernon v City 4) Davies v Tranmere (don't think anyone else has mentioned that one, but the relief when that went in was immense) 5) McDonald v Scunny There are probably plenty over the last 10 years that i could have picked but they spring to mind straight away because they're fresh in the memory. outoftheblue
In no order; Nick Henry at Villa park - start of the great escape Paul Bernard header at Ayresome park in 3-2 win ("Are you watching Bassett?") Ritchie at the Dell - LC quarter final David Shaw at Anfield Every goal we've ever scored against Manchester Red Sox

Ritchie at the Dell - LC quarter final David Shaw at Anfield Every goal we've ever scored against Manchester Red Sox Nick Henry's goal, along with Mike Cecere's against L**ds, was just outside my 5 in category 1. However, seeing the "greatest ever English player" score a fantastic own goal at the Chaddy End is too good to leave out!! He may well be the only English captain to have lifted the World Cup but I'll always remember him more for his diving header!!
leeslover
A few worthy of mention: No 5 by Murray away at Wycombe, the cherry on the icing on a day that gave us some much-needed hope. GMac vs Scunny. Saved me from another decade of crushing resentment at a football result. The defenders really did deserve to feel like their world had ended. Charlton’s 70 yard Exocet vs Gillingham. Vision, stunning technique and sheer audacity. Porter vs someone, from Gregan’s massive header Liddell’s scorcher from about 25 yards last season, brain cells letting me down again
