pcassist
I am told by a source (not HP) that we have Carl Robinson on trial from today. Have a look at http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/mid/halloffame/..._robinson.shtml for information on the lad.

Inspiral_Carpet
So is it Robinson Crusoe?
Frankly Mr Shankly
I'd be quietly impressed if Robinson does well on his trial and signs for us. Bags of experience at a higher level, and would compliment the raw talent we've already brought in really well.

Frankly Mr Shankly
please remind me, is he a left sided midfielder? I think he's centre midfield but can also play on the left side. So, not at orthodox left winger, no.
jonnyl@tic
Taken from Wikpedia.. Maybe not Robinson has since announced that he plans to spend the remainder of his club career in MLS. Although he took a substantial pay cut when moving across the Atlantic, the considerably lower property prices of Canada as opposed to those of the United Kingdom allowed him to purchase a country estate near Toronto. He also remarked, “ I think you will start to see more players from England and other places in Europe decide to move out here to play. I took a big decision to cancel my contract at Norwich and it was a big risk because it is a lot less money than I was guaranteed in England. But it is the best decision I have ever made. LaticsPete
I'd say definitely not! Joint captain of Toronto FC in the MLS, started 13 out of 15 games for them so far this season, only two players with more minutes on the field....
