However, the ball boys need more coaching in the new system. We had two balls on the pitch at times and a Derby player showed his expertise at marbles by cannoning one ball off the other. I have to accept that my ball-fumbling time-wasting tactics behind the goal in the Chaddy End are a thing of the past. I said last night that we need to practise the multiball thing in training since the players seemed unaware of what was going on at times. Glad to read that this will be happening. I do think there is a case to be made for livening up dull matches (end of the season middle table affairs and so on) by introducing a second ball into play. It always worked well in the Boys' Brigade. We now have the system in place; just need agreement. Can't see anyone being against when there's nothing at stake.
