North West Masters

I think we could have a chance. An ex-Latic features in all of the teams apart from Manure (I think):

Man City Squad

Eric Nixon - Mike Sheron - Ian Brightwell - Steve Redmond - Wayne Biggins

Fitzroy Simpson - Keith Curle - Ali Benarbia - Alan Kernaghan

Man Utd Squad

Phil Hughes - Colin McKee - Neil Whitworth - Craig Lawton - Sean McAuley

Wayne Bullimore - Guiliano Maoirana - George Switzer - Lee Sharpe

Oldham Squad

John Hallworth - Rick Holden - Lee Duxbury - Mike Milligan - Darren Sheridan

Tommy Wright - Tony Philiskirk - David Eyres - Andy Ritchie

Bolton Squad

David Lee - Andy Rhodes - Neil Cox - Bryan Small - Andy Walker

Alan Thompson - Julian Darby - TBC - TBC

Blackburn Squad

Alan Fettis - Mark Atkins - Keith Hill - Lenny Johnrose - Simon Grayson

Paul Warhurst - Craig Skinner - TBC - TBC

Leeds Squad

Henry Smith - Dylan Kerr - Chris Whyte - Nigel Thompson - Carl Shutt

Ian Snodin - Vince Brockie - Ray Wallace - TBC

For some reason, seeing those squad lists brought back some memories of players I'd forgotten about. Chris Whyte, the defender with all the chunks missing from his afro. Carl Shutt, who I always had about 3 or 4 stickers for in Panini 1987/88. Lenny Johnrose, scored a last minute equaliser as Bastard Rovers grabbed an undeserved draw at Fortress BP in the Championship season.

How many "who?!?" does that Man United squad have?

And do we have the most active squad in coaching/management out of all of them?

There were none there at all. :disappointed:

Apparently, they've heard Wardlelatic has moved to the Main Stand so they're all in The RRE this Season.

Phil Hughes - Colin McKee - Neil Whitworth - Craig Lawton - Sean McAuley

Wayne Bullimore - Guiliano Maoirana - George Switzer - Lee Sharpe

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philip_Hughes...ish_footballer)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_McKee - only played 1 game for united.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Whitworth - again only played 1 game for united.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Lawton_(footballer) - didnt even get a game

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_McAuley - never played a game.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Bullimore - only played at youth level

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuliano_Maiorana - never a 1st team regular

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Switzer - never played a game

Guess the United fans in attendance will have a reason for not knowing any of them bar Lee Sharpe. McAuley is crap!

So it wasn't that you might have missed them - you must have searched every inch of the Main Stand before making that categoric statement.

Lee Sharpe - Wikipedia:

"Sharpe dated Joanne Petty from 2003, and the couple lived together in Leeds. They split in 2005 after two years, shortly before he went on "Celebrity Love Island" and fell for co-star Abi Titmuss.

After he dated other women, Sharpe and Titmuss split up, but by February 2007 he was back with Petty.

On Sunday July 1, 2007 Sharpe was due to play for Manchester United in the Masters Football, but had to pull out on the day"

Methinks he might be subjected to some chanting.....if he turns up.

Looking at the squads we could win this..................hope the scum finish bottom!

My mate is a reds fan, I can see him actually supporting us though with that team. Shame on Manure. City on the other hand look like a decent team depending on their fitness levels.
