nesbitt1988
Stephens won't start on sat - he'll feature at some point this season, but not in the first game IMO think this is what SHEZ will go for: ...........................Crossley........................... Eardley.........Gregan........Hazell..........Lomax Liddell...........Maher.........Allott............Taylor ....................O'Grady.......Davies................. Swap Lomax for Phillips if he signs; and Taylor scaryly goes to LB - shez's potential team not mine!!!! For me, Liddell goes nowhere near the starting X1 these days; purley a bench player in my eyes. Taylor has to start on the right, with Demar on the LM & either Kelv or Black @ LB. O'Grady & Davis up top, with Smalley & Lewis unlucky to miss out, but game time together means Davis sneaks in with the certain starter of O'Grady. Allott & Maher need work as a partnership, but i think its the "safe" bet at the moment; but we'll see what happens over the coming weeks - like others have said i think they're too similar, but that is where Whittaker comes into it i think, if its not working in a game, we now have serious options on the bench instead of kids. yep if we sign phillips taylor will go to left back. what a waste!!! Rick
Starting Eleven on Saturday? Here is my suggestion.... Stella Becks Carling Grolsh Carlsberg Budweiser Corona Tennets Super Special Brew Holsten Pils Staropramen And I would go for a classic 4-4-2 formation. ........................ ....................... ................ ............... Obviously, Stella is the keeper as "nothing beats Stella". We have some hard cases in midfield with Tennents Super and Speical Brew while the light bodies of Corona and Budweiser should add a bit of fizz if things go flat during the game. PS I'd send Ayingerbrau out on loan to a non-league club. Edited August 5, 2008 by Rick

With me being slightly biased towards the Czechs, I would personally have Pilsner Urquell up front in place of Holsten Pils and Budvar would get the nod over Budweiser everytime!Budweiser, pah!Just a watered down immitation of the real thing! Diego_Sideburns
!Budweiser, pah!Just a watered down immitation of the real thing! Not to mention beino one of ManUre's sponsors in the USA. P.S. The makers of the real thing will take issue with you that simply by adding water to Coca Cola, it tastes as weak as Budweiser.

edhunteruk
No Kronenburg in the midfield? I think we need a bit of gallic flare in there myself................. i think he will go for familiararity and pick his favs instead of being immaginative and going for something different from the off... my choice would be ..............flemming...................... hazell....gregan.....stam......lee...... eardly..maher..allott....taylor.... ....davies.....o'grady...... obviously if lee isnt fit then play lomax.....and if phillips signed play him on left, taylor on right and put eardly back in defence.... be interesting to see his line up though. Are you going for a more continental 3-1-3-1-2, with a sweeper Prozac. It looks much more refined than Rick's blood and thunder rogues gallery. It's actually a bit like Shez v's Moore, if truth be told.

Frankly Mr Shankly
Not a Lager drinker myself but I was informed that Stella is pretty potent stuff , hence the name "Wife beater" And on the flip side, Peterman Artois is pretty lovely. As my mate fondly describes it, "It's like Stella... sans violence"
