opinions4u Posted August 15, 2008 Share Posted August 15, 2008 Why not? He's left footed, good on the ball, and solid defensively. He'd be a much better LB than Taylor, that's for certain. Seem to remember him having a nightmare at left back a couple of seasons back. I don't like playing centre halfs at full back (although would consider it if we re-signed Micah Richards or picked up Wes Brown on a free). Lomax should play if fit. Black is the best alternative. We have a decent sized squad, but in the knowledge that Eardley will be called up by the Welshies on regular occasions, we could do with another "natural" full-back in the squad who can give us both the defensive know-how and attacking threat that any good full-back is capable of.
