Chant idea

Recommended Posts

I had an idea the other night for a new Oldham chant and thought I'd get it out there to see what other people think. Since as far as I'm aware no-one else uses the song behind it in any of their chants (and I like things to be original)

To the tune/rhythm of Black Betty

covered by a few artists which although not necessarily a classic is a recognisable song.

Woah Athletic Bam De Bam

Woah Athletic Bam De Bam

We're from Boundary Bam De Bam

In Oldham Bam De Bam

The other thing about this is the song lends itsself quite nicely to expansion.

I prefer this, Sung to the tune of ‘Do the conga'

DOO DOO DOO, Lewis Alessandra,

DOO DOO DOO, ALWAYS ON THE FLOOR!

Should be " DOO DOO DOO, certainty to score"

But the first one is more factually correct

hahhaha that's well funny :)

Roll some out at the game next week though, some good ones there.

When we struggle to keep "Oh when the blues," or, "Sheridan's Blue and white army," in any sort of time, I feel that this is a touch beyond us. After we've mastered Horto Magiko then we'll think about the next step...
