oafcprozac
Carlisle 50,000,000 v 0 Scum sucking . More bothered about what we do then hopefully we won't need our title rivals to lose at home this time.........back in a minute just got some feathery friends to count, they've not hatched yet but what the hell! davegtt
If we win on Saturday a draw would be nice, increase the gap on both of them.
oafcprozac
If we win on Saturday a draw would be nice, increase the gap on both of them. As I said earlier in the week, a draw would be a great result, keep us top with 3 out of next four at home. Been to that North-east dump four times, never seen us come close to winning and they've been scoring for fun there this season so a draw would be a great result imo. Let's be honest though, no way we can be as bad as last season! Can we ???????
jsslatic
Draw would be best of course but failing that a Carlisle win. Doesn't matter how many points we all have after 7 games, it's after 46 games it will count. In the long run, the more points Leeds drop the better. Tommy_Fent
hmm Carlisle win I hope, I think Leeds have more chance of being up there at the end.
Simpo
At this point of the season it's all about how Latics do, really don't mind what happens in other games, although I look on with interest. Changes as the season rolls on though, we'll have big cheers in Spring when our title rivals are losing at half time! ;)
leeslover
It’s far too early to say how the season will work out and there’s no reason why the wheels can’t fall off for Leeds again so I will settle for them getting a point each, due to a very late and dodgy Carlisle goal which guts their players and ruins their fans’ weekend. edhunteruk
We don't need to worry about others - Just win our games. If we win all our games nobody can catch us - easy hmmm, this is true to a certain extent, the season is in our own hands so yes if we win our games we will go up. however if the teams below us start to cancel each other out then that is also a good thing, because it has a physcological effect on them, the more points they drop and we gain the bigger the points gap increases. once you establish a decent lead it isnt so bad if for some unknown reason we have an off day or suffer a couple of injurys as you have this cushion to fall back on. its true that you dont win the league in september, but a good start helps come may....where as a bad start in august and september can map out your season and have you in a relegation battle early on. rosa
That can't happen bob It can if there's an almighty punch-up,10 players get sent off,the game gets abandoned and both sides get docked points. Probably more likely when Leeds play Millwall though.

Lags
I'd like it to be a draw. Failing that a Carlisle win, reason being, we've already beaten dirty Leeds and so created a gap on them. So once we beat Carlisle we'll have a gap on them too!
oafc-j
1-1 carlisle and leeds us to win 3-1 hughesy brace and taylor 1 and leiceter to lose
eyres_28
Carlisle win surely favours Latics ... Leeds have the squad that can easily gather the head of steam they had at start of 07/08 - best keeping the big boys at arms length for as long as possible as they're certain to be in the playoff shake-up at least come MAY Oh! and yes our match is of course the priority ... as long as the team aren't focusing on others results this early
laticsmike
Leeds' 25,000 away following roar them on to a 12-0 victory. .....that can't happen either, Jonesy. They would only fit about 5000 in the Carlisle ground and we all know how feeble and desperate Leeds supporters sound when up against a strong (er) club. ceskylatic
Carlisle 1-0 Leeds.(Andy Hughes o.g) Danny Graham gets sent off for head-butting Neil Kilkenny, thus incurring a three match ban.
