Diego_Sideburns
Notts County’s greatest-ever manager Jimmy Sirrell has died today at the age of 86. He had a face only a mother could love and he was one of the great characters of English football - they don't make 'em like him any more. http://www.nottscountyfc.premiumtv.co.uk/p...1403198,00.html Notts County fans are paying their tributes on this link: http://boards.footymad.net/mboard/fmb.php?...;mid=2128274809
drw1909
Sirrell certainly was a character, it reminds me of the many battles we had with Notts County in the late 60's & early 70's when Jimmy Frizzell was our manager. Diego You're memory is probably better than mine did Sirrell sell Tony Hateley to us ?
boboafc
sad news , jimmy Sirrell was very like our own jimmy frizzell as a manager with a very low budget ,but always managed to get good players in the club, seen him a few times at latics, he was a good friend of frizzell to .. rest in peace
