Bring Back Ronnie Moore
Has been given the "all clear" after being diagnosed with testicular cancer a few months ago, and now wants to get back into the game. 34 years old, was on trial with Walsall in pre season before undertaking treatment. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/7763392.stm Become a bit of a journey man, could he do a job at this level? Worth a month to month deal? Pending a successful trial. Edited December 3, 2008 by Bring Back Pukka Pies

Do wish him all the best... if he gets to full fitness he wouldnt be a bad shout at this level....

leeslover
Good luck to the guy, but he isn't going to come straight back onto a pitch and perform from the off - that would be a lot to ask for someone a lot younger and, erm, more toned who had been through what he has. rudemedic
I'd think he'd be worth a shot and it could be possible for him to get close to something approaching match fitness in a couple of weeks but I would think he'd give Walsall first dibs on any comeback as he was there when he retired due to his diagnosis and he has always struck me as an honourable man. If he does come back to football then good luck to him (apart from anytime he spends playing against Latics that is).
