mikejh45
Getting involved yesterday probably stopped the referee giving their defender a straight red. Hughes deflected attention away from the defender pushing Taylor in the chest. The rest of the team can obviously see that Hughes is going to be quick to step in, so they should ensure that he doesn't get involved. After all he is the captain and therefore responsible for all that goes wrong. Cheers, Harry

Cheers, Harry All the players are aware of Hughes' inability to stay out of a conflict, so maybe Sheriden should order the players to prevent Hughes gettng involved. After all, it is a team game. Anyway, the speed at which Gregan is moving at the moment, he might have strolled up to the referee about 5 minutes after the booking!!! monkeykieran
Hughes is ace, i love the guy and he's our best player IMO The captain and Manager should keep his attitude to a manageble level. Without it he wouldnt be the player he is.
Roger Ritchie
Hughes didn’t do much wrong Saturday. The Brighton centre half was looking for trouble all game then went after Taylor. Hughes went over and stepped in-between them. The Brighton player started giving it the big un, Hughes laughed. Hughes only really got angry after he had been booked. Markoasis
Having watch LW ............... Hughes your a legend mate!!! You saw the Brighton players heading towards one of the younger players in the team to have a pop, so you get in there to stick up for your mate!! So you got a yellow card ......... who cares, well by the looks for things YOU DO!!!! ABOUT YOUR TEAM MATES!!!!!! Pointless rant about his booking P.S Someone forgot to tell me that Danny W ran over there at exactly the same time, so he was as bad a Hughes ........... selective vision
garcon
From the ref's point of view, I could understand Hughes's booking, but I couldn't understand Kuipers NOT being booked. If he booked Hughes he HAD to book Kuipers surely?!

Suggesting all bald football players, who play for Oldham are angry, fighting misfits Nowt wrong with him stickin' up for a team mate. We are not generally over physical as a team and I for one am quite happy to see Hughes and Greags 'put it about a bit' Without that we're a bit of a soft touch.
