BP1960
One of the ironic things in this case is suspensions for clubs above Droylsden's level start after 7 days, whereas it's 14 days wait for those at Droylsden's level and below. Had it been 7 days the Droylsden player would probably have served his suspension straight away in a league match and all this would never have happened. I wonder why the F.A has 2 rules for the same offence ? Edited December 30, 2008 by BP1960
Ohh Johnny Eyre
They did chuck West Ham out of the League Cup a few years back. That's not true though. They made them replay their match.
futchers briefs
Not a stitch up, nor anything sinister about it - anybody in the amateur game who knows dave pace will say deserved!
garcon
Strange how karma can work out. After the not terribly well explained floodlight "failure"....

If anybody can be arsed digging out a link to confirm this I'd be interested to see it. I seem to remember the club secretary leaving his job over the matter. Replayed it and got beat by Villa: Link to guy biting bullet: http://www.4thegame.com/wanadoo/news/story...IMNI+ERROR.html Edit: Omoyimni never played for the club again. He was immediatley farmed out and his contract allowed to run down. Edited December 30, 2008 by OldhamSheridan
Latics4lifenotjustxmas
The guy who bit the bullett was West Ham's company secretary Graham Mackrell. The whole business smelt a bit fishy to me.
opinions4u
Thanks to those who put me right. Yup, smaller clubs dealt with differently then.

Lookers_Carl
On BBC now Droylsden failed in their appeal. After chucking bury out for something similar, dont think they could do anything else. Rules are rules.
boundaryblue80
Dave Pace...a crook (allegedly) who deserves all he gets. Feel a tad sorry for the fans and players, but they've got their voice. Time to exercise it and get rid of the prick! NB: Dislike comes from having worked for a company who's had dealings with him. And some stuff he's got away with that I'm not going to air here.
