Ackey Posted January 12, 2009 Share Posted January 12, 2009 In what are generally recognized as a reasonable indicator of the Oscar results the British nominees have cleaned up at the Golden Globes tonight in Hollywood. Winners included the always overlooked Kate Winslet, who took home two Globes, and Slumdog Millionaire, with local boy Danny Boyle picking up best director and the film taking home Best Motion Picture. All in all a phenominal night for British cinema. I can't wait to actually see Slumdog' and hope that the Oscars recognize the power of British cinema and British artists also.
